The newest character in Vampire Survivors is arguably the most powerful. Patch 0.11.0 introduces players to Queen Sigma; a character that begins with a laundry list of passive bonuses and a new weapon, Victory Sword, as her starting weapon. Queen Sigma does have one penalty, but it's minor and does not affect the player's performance.

Unlocking Queen Sigma, for new players anyway, will be a long and tedious ordeal. Long-time players will likely be able to unlock this character without much effort. Either way, this incredibly powerful character is worth the time and effort to unlock.

2 Unlocking Queen Sigma

The Collection in Vampire Survivors

To unlock Queen Sigma, the player needs to complete the Collection, which is currently at 122 items. The Collection is accessed from the main menu and keeps track of what items the player has unlocked and found. The Collection includes weapons, passive items, pick-up items, relics, and arcanas.

Obviously, new players will probably be many, many runs away from completing the Collection. Veteran players who have made an effort to unlock all the characters, weapons, and arcanas will not have to do much to unlock Queen Sigma. If the game is started with a full Collection, it might be necessary to start a run and then exit the stage for Sigma to appear during character selection. Players don't need to spend gold to unlock Sigma in the character selection screen.

1 Using Queen Sigma

Unlocking Queen Sigma in Vampire Survivors

As stated above, Queen Sigma starts with numerous passive bonuses - these aren't small bonuses either. Nearly every stat, such as Might and Area, gets a huge bonus; in most cases, equal to (or greater) than the passive item associated with a particular stat. This almost makes a run with Sigma too easy. The drawback for all these bonuses is that Queen Sigma can't pick up Golden Eggs - so players cannot improve her performance over time (not that it was needed).

The Golden Eggs for sale by the merchant are replaced with the Candy Box weapon. Victory Sword is Sigma's starting weapon. This new weapon creates a series of visible slashes at nearby enemies. Victory Sword's damage is not as high as many of the other weapons in Vampire Survivors, but it has a short cooldown time and a wide area of attack.

Another bonus Sigma receives is that she gains arcanas faster than other characters; she can also have more arcanas than other characters. Like all characters, Sigma can choose an arcana at the start of a run. She also gets to pick a new arcana at levels 2, 3, 77, and 108. If the player stays at level 1 until getting the arcanas at the 11:00 and 21:00 minute marks, they can have up to seven arcanas with Sigma. Additionally, every time Sigma gets to pick an arcana, she chooses from all available arcanas, not a random selection of four. There really isn't a strategy to using Sigma; she's so powerful that Hyper Mode Green Acres is laughably easy.
