Vampire Survivors patch 0.7.2 added a new passive item and stat to the game. Those additions are Torrona's Box and Omni respectively, and they are inextricably linked. For those players that may be confused about some aspect of Torrona's Box or Omni in Vampire Survivors, this guide is here to provide full details on these gameplay mechanics.

Vampire Survivors: What is Omni?

Omni is a stat that increases Might, Projectile Speed, Duration, and Area for all weapons in Vampire Survivors. More specifically, those stats are increased by 2% per rank of Omni, and all characters can receive these benefits if a player invests in a PowerUp that was added with the release of update 0.7.2. That is the Omni PowerUp, and fans must unlock it before they can start putting coins toward it.

Vampire Survivors: How to Unlock Omni PowerUp

With respect to the how to unlock the Omni PowerUp in Vampire Survivors, the requirement is getting Torrona's Box to Level 9. As previously noted, Torrona's Box is a passive item, and players can obtain it and level it up as they would any other such item. That said, fans must unlock Torrona's Box before any of that can be done, and indeed the process of doing so is quite specific.

Vampire Survivors: How to Unlock Torrona's Box

To unlock Torrona's Box, players must hold six different weapon evolutions at once. While any six weapon evolutions in Vampire Survivors will do, players may want to focus on the simpler ones and avoid more complex evolutions like the Infinite Corridor. Additionally, fans may want to select a character that starts with an evolved weapon, such as Minnah or Leda, to reduce the number of evolutions that they must perform.

Vampire Survivors: What Does Torrona's Box Do?

While it should now be clear that Torrona's Box is a passive item in Vampire Survivors, players may still have some questions about its functionality. Quite simply, the item increases Omni for its first eight levels and then increases Curse upon hitting Level 9. Specifically, a Torrona's Box at maximum level will grant +25% Might, Projectile Speed, Duration, and Area and +100% enemy speed, health, quantity, and frequency.

To note, players that want to avoid the Box's Curse effect should make sure to save a Banish for when they reach Level 8 with the passive item. At that point, players should wait for Torrona's Box to appear in their level up choices and then use the Banish upon it. This action will remove the item from the run's future level up choices, allowing players to be affected by its benefits alone.
