Vampire Survivors has a new DLC offering, Tides of Foscari, and with it comes a wealth of new content. This new content includes several new characters, which means new weapons as well. These new weapons all have their uses; however, some are quite noticeably better than others.

The weapons introduced in the Tides of Foscari DLC are quite varied in performance. Though, a few are similar to already existing weapons. Some create explosions around the character, while others are more of a direct-fire weapon. One great aspect of these new weapons is the fact that already existing passive items are used to evolve those that can evolve. This allows for some incredibly efficient builds, as some weapons can use the same passive item to evolve. This list will include the base weapons and evolved forms in Vampire Survivors - not every evolved weapon is inarguably better than the fully leveled base version.

10 Prismatic Missile

The colorful Prismatic Missile in Vampire Survivors Tides of Foscari Weapons

Prismatic Missile causes a shower of magical motes that comes from the top of the screen and circle the character. When the motes expire, an explosion is generated. The area of effect of this explosion is similar in size to Garlic. The damage of this explosion is on par with weapons like Cherry Bomb and Whip.

One great aspect of Prismatic Missiles is that it works well with numerous arcanas. The Twilight Requiem and Heart of Fire arcanas add their explosion to Prismatic Missile's explosion. The Jail of Crystal arcana can cause enemies hit by Prismatic Missile to freeze.

9 Spellstrike

The Spellstrike weapon in Vampire Survivors Tides of Foscari Weapons

Spellstrike functions almost exactly like Victory Sword. Spellstrike does more damage per hit, but Victory Sword attacks more times per activation. Both weapons attack the nearest enemy. Overall, Victory Sword is the superior weapon due to being able to perform critical hits and retaliatory strikes.

The most important passive item to get when using Spellstrike is Spinach. The damage of this weapon scales with Might better than most weapons. This is one of the best secondary weapons for characters that start with a direct fire weapon; like Gennaro or Keitha.

8 Eskizzibur

The Eskizzibur sword in Vampire Survivors Tides of Foscari Weapons

This is the starting weapon of Maruto, and evolves into Legionnaire when fully leveled if the player has a fully-leveled Armor passive item. Eskizzibur sends out slashing arcs on both sides of the character. The higher the Amount, the more slashes will be performed. This weapon functions similarly the Whip.

Once Eskizzibur has reached level five it begins slamming the ground around the character - causing huge cracks in the ground. Enemies caught in the area take massive damage from the impact. If the user takes damage the Eskizzibur retaliates. This weapon works best with the Duplicator and Candelabrador passive items.

7 Spellstring

Eleanor using Spellstring in Vampire Survivors Tides of Foscari Weapons

This is the starting weapon of Eleanor. When combined with Spellstream and Spellstrike, and all are at maximum level, the three evolve into Spellstrom. Spellstring is one of the best weapons to take when a close-range enemy stopper is needed. Spellstring sends out tendrils of energy at nearby enemies.

This weapon does a moderate amount of damage, but this can be increased by increasing Projectile Speed. In other words, players will want to select the Bracer passive item if they have Spellstring. The Duplicator is another great passive item to use with this weapon.

6 Luminaire

Luminaire in Vampire Survivors Tides of Foscari Weapons

This is the evolved form of Prismatic Missile, and only marginally better than its base weapon. Luminaire calls forth vertical beams of energy down on enemies. The damage is high, but not high enough that this weapon can easily handle a stage by itself. A circular pattern extends down from the top of the screen, but this is only a cosmetic effect.

Even with the Empty Tome passive item, the cooldown of the Luminaire feels a little too long. If a player wants to try a run with only this weapon they should expect to spend most of the run weaving through swarms of enemies, desperately trying not to take damage.

5 Party Popper

The Party Popper weapon in Vampire Survivors Tides of Foscari Weapons

The Party Popper operates like a cross between the Axe and Magic Wand. It sends out fireworks in a high arc. Enemies hit by these fireworks take damage; however, if they miss an enemy they will bounce around for a little while before going out. Players will want this weapon firing as much as possible and sending out as many projectiles as possible.

The best passive items to use with this weapon are the Duplicator, Empty Tome, Candelabrador, and Spellbinder. The Party Popper doesn't evolve, but if boosted by the previously listed passive items the Party Popper is a formidable weapon.

4 Legionnaire

Maruto using Legionnaire in Vampire Survivors Tides of Foscari Weapons

This is the evolved form of Eskizzibur, and functions much like its base weapon. Legionnaire sends out damaging arcs to either side of the character, pounds the ground for a large area of effect, and retaliates when the user takes damage. When activating, Legionnaire also summons clones of the user. These clones travel across the screen in whatever direction the character was facing when it activated.

The clones do quite a bit of damage, and their numbers can be increased by increasing Amount. The clones' Movement Speed, Size, and Duration can also be increased with the associated passive items.

3 Millionaire

Millionaire weapon in Vampire Survivors Tides of Foscari Weapons

Millionaire is the evolve form of the Flash Arrow. This weapon fires an arrow in whatever direction the character is facing; it also showers half of the screen with a rain of arrows. This rain of arrows dispatches enemy groups almost instantly - even the stronger enemies that appear when approaching the 30-minute mark.

This is easily one of the best weapons in Vampire Survivors. Its base form, Flash Arrow, is one of the worst. It fires a single arrow in the direction the character is facing. This arrow can be boosted by raising Amount, and does quite a bit amount of damage, but it unfortunately has a very narrow area of effect.

2 Spellstrom

Eleanor using Spellstrom in Vampire Survivors Tides of Foscari Weapons

Spellstrom is the union of Spellstring, Spellstrike, and Spellstream; there isn't a required passive item. Spellstrom summons two circular energy orbs that rotate around the character; any enemies caught in the path take an incredible amount of damage. This capable of being used solo through a run, but as evolving into Spellstrom frees two weapon slots. This makes it tricky to use this weapon exclusively.

Each orb emits the projectiles of the Spellstring weapon. Additionally, the weapon effects of Spellstream and Spellstrike are not lost during the union of the three base weapons. The only drawback to this weapon is that it initially takes up three weapon slots.

1 Ophion

The Ophion weapon in Vampire Survivors Tides of Foscari Weapons

The Ophion is the evolved form of Shadow Servant, and possibly the best weapon in the game. Seriously, this weapon can easily handle the hordes of enemies by itself. The only real problem with Ophion is that it begins as Shadow Servant, which is one of the worst weapons in the game.

This weapon creates circular damaging zones around the edge of the screen. With a high enough Amount and Area, these will cover the entire edge of the screen on all sides. This prevents enemies from getting anywhere near the character. This is a great weapon to use with Gold Rush runs as it kills enemies the second they enter the screen.

Vampire Survivors is available now on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Android, and iOS
