Riot Games revealed a new teaser trailer for Sova, a playable character in its new competitive shooter, Valorant. Riot has also released teaser trailers for Valorant character Phoenix, who uses fire abilities, and Viper, who uses poison and toxic gases.

On Twitter, Riot shared a short trailer for Sova, a character that some fans are saying needs to get nerfed. The character, who looks like The Witcher protagonist Geralt, is all about hunting down his enemies. The Russian character starts the trailer by saying that "wherever they run, I will find them" which suggests his enemies shouldn't try to run away from him.

Two of Sova's abilities will help Valorant players find other players on the map. One of these is the Owl Drone, a drone that allows players to look around the map, that can also fire darts at enemies to show where they are.

Another ability is the Recon Bolt, which can be fired to reveal where an enemy is hiding. The Recon Bolt may be compared to Hanzo's Sonic Arrow in Overwatch, but Sova's ability looks much stronger as the trailer shows the character shooting the enemy through a wall.

Sova can also use Shock Bolt, which is an electrical bolt that deals damage when it lands. The character's ultimate ability is Hunter's Fury, allowing Valorant players to fire three spears across the map, dealing damage and marking any enemy that they hit.

While some Valorant fans seem excited about Sova and his abilities, others are concerned with how powerful he may be. The game has been compared to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, a game where cheaters use "wallhacks" to see through walls and shoot enemies, and some have joked that Valorant is just making wallhacks a feature.

Riot has confirmed that there will be a Valorant beta but it's unclear when fans will get to play it and see how they can the abilities of Sova and the game's other characters to take down enemies The company also hasn't said if Sova will be available in the game at launch.

There will be several playable characters in Valorant, but some of them will be locked. If Sova got a trailer then it seems unlikely that he will be one that's locked at launch, but Riot hasn't offered an official confirmation of which characters will be available.

Valorant will launch sometime during Summer 2020 for the PC.
