Valheim is typically a challenging game that has its players fend off enemies while they harvest materials and improve their equipment. Some Valheim players have moved beyond that point, however, and used the game’s console commands to create impressive structures. In the latest display of this player creativity, one Valheim player created an enormous fighting arena.

Valheim is a survival and sandbox game that drops players into an enormous fantasy world. The game features a building mechanic as well as console commands that can be combined to easily summon the needed materials to create structures that would normally take dozens of hours.

This clip comes from u/AccureAF, and it starts by showing the path that leads to their enormous structure. Players approaching the arena can dock their vessel and walk up a stone path to speak to the wooden gnome operating a booth. Eventually, Viking visitors must climb up some stairs to enter the arena. Inside, there are three seating sections that surround an enormous, flat fighting space. U/AccureAF then drops a Troll and an Abomination into the arena which proceed to fight to the death. At the end of the battle, the Troll comes out victorious and walks menacingly towards the player.

A structure such as this one (which likely contains hundreds of stone walls) would genuinely require thousands of stones and maybe even deplete an entire island of the material. This means that those looking to recreate this massive arena would have to turn to Valheim’s console commands and summon the needed stone. While a smaller version would be more manageable, it would likely be too small for massive fights such as this one.

Console commands help allow players to show what Valheim is capable of at its most extreme. There have been plenty of impressive player builds in Valheim and many of those wouldn’t be possible without console commands.

They do, however, give the game a different feel and that isn’t for everyone. A survival game such as Valheim tasks players with transitioning from struggling to thriving and many players will avoid console commands to keep their game world a challenge. Either way, this post features an arena that any Viking would be interested in visiting.

Valheim is available now for PC and will come to Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S in Spring 2023.
