How to Craft an Iron Cooking Station
An Iron Cooking Station requires just a couple of materials, but players must work in Valheim's Swamp Biome to get them. The recipe for this item is 3 Iron and 3 Chain. First, players can gather Scrap Iron, which can primarily be found in the Sunken Crypts that dot the area. Players need to have defeated the boss The Elder in order to open these.
Once inside, the best method for getting Scrap Iron is through mining Muddy Scrap Piles within these Sunken Crypts. Scrap Iron can then be converted into Iron when combined with coal in a Smelter. Chains can be gathered in the same location in the chests that appear in Sunken Crypts, but are also dropped by Wraiths.
The Swamp Biome is home to a number of important materials, but can be quite dangerous, especially for those without a resistance to poison. But once those materials are gathered, players can craft an Iron Cooking Station as long as they do so in the area of a Forge.
How to Use an Iron Cooking Station
The Iron Cooking Station functions similarly to the original Cooking Station. This means that players have to place the new station over an active fire, and need to have uncooked meat to put it to use. Having anything from Raw Meat to Serpent Meat in a player's inventory means that just activating the Iron Cooking Station will hang up the meat and begin its cooking.
This functions as an upgrade on the original Cooking Station because it allows for up to 5 items to be cooked at a time, meaning that players can cut down on the amount of time they spend preparing food. Players need to make sure though that the entire station has a flame underneath it, otherwise it will not work.
With this new update, higher quality meats such as those harvested from Lox and Serpents require this station in order to be cooked. With that in mind, players looking to get the best foods in Valheim will likely need to invest in the Iron Cooking Station to get the most out of the update.
