Improving your character's armor and weaponry is essential in Valheim. As players make their way into a new biome, it is crucial they harvest the new materials and put them to use through game's crafting stations. This progression arc continues into the latest update, Mistlands, which is currently on Valheim's Public Test Server.

There are a pair of new crafting stations available with this update, the most intriguing of which is the Galdr Table. This is the key to producing the items that take advantage of Valheim's new magic system. For those players looking to create this new crafting station, this guide is here to help.

How to Craft a Galdr Table in Valheim?

The Galdr Table is one of the many items that can be created with the game's Hammer Tool. Underneath its crafting section, players will have the Galdr Table recipe once they have found at least one example of Yggdrasil Wood (20 for this recipe), Black Metal (10), Black Core (5), and Refined Eitr (5). Three of these four items can only be found in the newly created Mistlands biome while Black Metal is created from the Black Metal Scrap found in the Plains.

Yggdrasil Wood can be harvested with a Black Metal Axe when used on Yggdrasil Shoots while Black Cores can be found in hidden rooms in the Infested Mines. Refined Eitr, however, requires players to locate the massive, glowing roots in the Mistlands, extract their Sap, and run it through an Eitr Refinery. This machine requires Soft Tissue in order to convert this Sap and that material can be found within the skulls of the Petrified Bones

What Can a Galdr Table Craft in Valheim?

The main purpose for crafting a Galdr Table in Valheim is to access the new magic system. There are nine items currently available at the Galdr Table as of the Mistlands being brought to the game's Public Test Branch. Notable on this list is the Eitr-Weave armor set that trades a higher defensive stat for better magical recovery, as well as the Feather Cape which can effectively remove the need to fear fall damage.

Offensively, players can use this table to craft the Staff of Embers, the Staff of Frost, and the Dead Raiser. All three of these weapons allow players to perform actions in Valheim that were not possible before this update. The Galdr Table also currently features one upgrade, the Rune Table, and this comes at a cost of 10 Black Marble, 5 Yggdrasil Wood, and 10 Refined Eitr. The main purpose of creating this is to allow for the upgrading of the items the Galdr Table can craft.

Valheim is available now for PC, and releases in early 2023 for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
