How to Craft a Wisp Fountain

The Wisp Fountain recipe opens up after players pick up the reward they get for defeating Valheim's Yagluth: a Torn Spirit. This new item as well as ten stone can be combined to create a Wisp Fountain. Players will find the Wisp Fountain when using the Hammer underneath the crafting section. This structure needs to be placed in the open in order to attract the Wisps needed for venturing into the Mistlands safely.

Beating Yagluth is one of the most challenging fights in all of Valheim and so players looking to earn a Torn Spirit need to spend a good deal of time preparing. At the very least, players will likely need to have upgraded Padded Armor as well as have prepared Fire Resistance Barley Wine. Fortunately, gathering ten stone is a much easier prospect as this resource can be picked up in most biomes or dug up with any pickaxe.

How to Use a Wisp Fountain

With a Wisp Fountain placed properly, players will find that interacting with it brings up either a message about the Wisps demanding darkness or a message that the Wisps are on their way. The Wisp Fountain will only attract Wisps at night and players need to be patient in order for them to appear.

Once the conditions are right, tiny glowing creatures will begin to appear and circle the Wisp Fountain. Capturing these light creatures just requires that players interact with them while they fly around. Doing so will drop the Wisps on the ground where players can simply pick them up and add them into their inventories. These are the key components in creating Wisplights, one of the few things that will disperse the mist in Valheim's Mistlands biome.

Valheim is available now for PC, and releases in early 2023 for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
