The best way to take advantage of Valheim's magic system is to create meals that add to a player's Eitr stat. This new magical resource allows players to wield the new weapons brought through the game's latest biome update: Mistlands. One of the meals that players are going to want to create first is the Seeker Aspic.

As with other meals, the Seeker Aspic requires players venture into the Mistlands in order to harvest the correct materials. This area is the most challenging in all of Valheim, slotting in after the Plains biome, making this recipe gathering a real challenge. For those players looking to cook the Seeker Aspic, this guide is here to help.

How to Cook the Seeker Aspic Meal?

The Seeker Aspic meal can only be crafted at a level 5 Cauldron, the main cooking station in Valheim. This means players need to have created a Spice Rack, Butchers Table, Pots and Pans, and the new Mortar and Pestle in addition to the Cauldron to make it. This meal requires 2 Seeker Meat, 2 Magecaps, and 2 Royal Jelly. This will produce 2 examples of Seeker Aspic and each add 28 Health, 14 Stamina, and 85 Eitr to the player's current stats. This meal lasts for 30 in-game minutes and heals at 3hp per tick.

At 85 Eitr, this is currently the most powerful magical meal in the game. This makes it an important piece for those players looking to take advantage of the new magical weapons like the Staff of Protection and Staff of Frost in Valheim. It does come at a cost, however, as its ingredients can be a challenge to acquire.

Where to get the Ingredients for the Seeker Aspic?

As mentioned before, all three ingredients can only be found in the Mistlands biome. Seeker Meat is a drop from both the regular, flying Seekers and the more intimidating Seeker Soliders. These creatures can be found roaming this new area but are most often found within the Infested Mines here. These tricky dungeons are also the location of Valheim's Royal Jelly, which is often clumped into small piles in random rooms inside. It is important that players not take these areas lightly because they are often filled with difficult creatures.

The final ingredient, Magecaps, are new mushrooms that had been hinted at before the game released on Valheim's Public Test Branch. Similar to other plants, these blue mushrooms grow throughout the area randomly but typically in small bunches. Magecaps on their own can be eaten to grant 25 Health, 25 Stamina, and 25 Eitr. These can also be harvested and replanted with a cultivator to farm Magecaps for future meal usage.

Valheim is available now for PC, and releases in early 2023 for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
