The Mistlands update to Valheim has brought a handful of new options for players to experiment with regarding meals. These new food items have changed the tier list in the game and there are plenty of options that provide a significant amount of either Health, Stamina, or Eitr. One of the most promising of these new options is the Meat Platter, an item that looks just as its name implies.

Unfortunately, the Meat Platter requires players track down a few of the most dangerous creatures in all of Valheim in order to be crafted. For those players looking to create this new meal, this guide is here to help.

How to Cook a Meat Platter in Valheim?

The recipe for a Meat Platter in Valheim requires players head to a level 5 Cauldron and combine one Seeker Meat, one Lox Meat, and one Hare Meat. These can be used to create an uncooked version of the Meat Platter which will need to be brought to Valheim's Stone Oven. It is at this station that players can properly cook this food item and collect its edible version.

The finished Meat Platter boasts an impressive 80 Health and 26 Stamina. This has the second-highest Health boost in all of Valheim, tied with Serpent Stew. This makes it an obvious choice for those that haven't used either of their other two food slots for health-focused meals.

Where to Find the Ingredients for a Meat Platter in Valheim?

The Meat Platter is one of the few meals where each ingredient requires players kill a creature. The easiest to obtain is Hare Meat, a drop from the Hares that populate the new Mistlands biome. These are passive creatures and, while they will run away, they will not fight players. Also in the Mistlands are Seekers and Seeker Soldiers which both drop Seeker Meat. These are all very challenging enemies in the game and should not be taken lightly.

The Plains biome is the home of the Lox, the key to the final ingredient. Lox are aggressive creatures that spawn in groups and these creatures can deal significant damage. All of this can make their drop, Lox Meat, difficult to acquire. Fortunately, these creatures are tameable in Valheim and even bred to make this meat-acquiring process much more straightforward.

Valheim is available now for PC, and releases in early 2023 for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
