Through the Mistlands update, Valheim players have gained access to new weapons and an entirely new biome. The Mistlands now presents the highest level of challenge in the game as of this writing. Fortunately, to meet this daunting new area in Valheim, there are plenty of new options to craft across the different combat techniques.

Advancing the knife category as part of the Mistlands update, the Skoll and Hati is one of the most interesting options of these new weapons. For all of its advantages, however, this weapon does have some drawbacks. For those players looking to craft the Skoll and Hati, this guide is here to help.

How To Craft The Skoll And Hati In Valheim?

This weapon can only be crafted at a Black Forge, one of the new crafting stations brought with the Mistlands update. The recipe for the Skoll and Hati calls for 4 Fine Wood, 10 Iron, and 10 Black Metal. For this price, players craft a two-handed knife with a durability of 200, 45 Pierce damage, and 45 Slash damage. It also boasts a 4x Parry bonus, a 6x backstab bonus, and uses 14 stamina per normal attack.

This weapon can also be upgraded for the cost of 4 Iron and 4 Black Metal to increase durability by 50, Pierce and Slash damage by one, and block force by 5. With or without the upgrade, the Skoll and Hati appear as a sickle and knife created with a combination of metals.

Where To Find The Ingredients For The Skoll and Hati?

Of the weapons brought to Valheim, the Skoll and Hati has some of the easiest ingredients to gather. Starting with Fine Wood, players can gather this material by cutting down either Birch or Oak trees that grow in the Meadows and Plains biomes. Iron needs to be smelted in Valheim; to do so, players have to mine Muddy Scrap Piles commonly found in the Swamps biome and place these in an active Smelter.

Black Metal is unique among metals in Valheim in that players don't have to mine it. Instead, Black Metal Scrap can be found as drops from Fulings and within these creatures' chests. Unfortunately, Black Metal Scrap can only be converted into Black Metal bars with a Blast Furnace. When players are able to create this machine, this conversion will take place as long as it has coal.

Valheim is available now for PC, and releases in early 2023 for Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
