Acquiring The Bat Form
Among the other forms available in V Rising, the bat form is acquired relatively late into the game. It’s a reward bestowed upon the players after they find and defeat a V Blood enemy named Nightmarshal Styx the Sunderer, a legendary vampire.
Taking on Nightmarshal Styx solo requires the player to reach at least level 76. The V Blood vampire can be found patrolling any of the roads in the Cursed Forest, which is located in the northwestern region of the map.
The fight against Nightmarshal Styx isn’t too difficult, but players must watch out for his deadly spinning attack. When the legendary vampire is half-way down his health bar, he summons an army of weaker vampires who heal the player when killed.
Besides the bat form, Nightmarshal Sytx doesn’t drop anything worthwhile.

- While players can still carry silver in bat form, possessing any other resources in the inventory prevents the transformation.
- In flight, enemies on the ground are hidden from players’ view to avoid providing them with undue advantage. Therefore, players must remain prepared for any surprises when exiting the bat form.
- Casting the bat form takes about five seconds, which leaves players vulnerable when enemies are nearby.
- Finally, the bat form is unusable indoors or when the player is covered by any roof-like structure.
