Radium Alloy is one of the more advanced crafting materials in V Rising. It's used in a number of mid-late-game items, and players will need a lot of it if they want to make some of the best gear in the game.

Unlike basic Iron Ore in V Rising, Radium Alloy cannot be simply gathered. As its name suggests, it is the product of a combination of multiple ingredients, and players will have to go through several hoops if they want to start making this resource. Here's everything you need to know about crafting Radium Alloy.

How To Make Radium Alloy in V Rising

Radium Alloy in the Furnace menu of V Rising

This elusive material only becomes available once players reach the Gloomrot region, which is directly north of the Dunley Farmlands. Instead of smacking away at some resource node, you'll need to gather the following materials in order to make Radium Alloy:

  • Sludge-Filled Canister: Crafted in a Fabricator. Requires Mutant Grease, Iron Ingot, and Glass.
  • Sulphur: Refined in a Furnace by smelting Sulphur Ore.
  • Tech Scrap: Dropped by Trancendum enemies all over the Gloomrot region. May be obtained by breaking crates or looting chests.

Radium Alloy is made in Furnaces by throwing together the three materials listed above. However, you'll first need to beat Ziva the Engineer, one of the bosses added in V Rising's Secrets of Gloomrot expansion back during the game's early access days. Sludge-Filled Canisters are going to be the most tedious to obtain out of these three materials, so make sure to stock up on its ingredients if you plan on making a lot of Radium Alloy.

What Is Radium Alloy For?

An Ancestral Whip in V Rising

Radium Alloy is a crafting material used for making items like Large Explosive Boxes, Power Cores, Obsidian, and Blood Merlot Amulets. More importantly, it is a key ingredient in the forging of ancestral weapons in V Rising.

You can start making this early tier of legendary weapons by beating Octavian the Militia Captain in the Dunley Bastion. To make one, you first need to make an Ancestral Forge. After that, you must find Ancestral Weapon Shards by defeating V Blood bosses. You can also purchase shards directly from the Vampire Merchant in the Ruins of Mortium. He will sell Rare Ancestral Weapon Shards for 750 Stygian Shards, a new resource that can be obtained by defeating ancient vampires and participating in Rift Incursion events that happen in set intervals around Mortium.
