Grave Dust is used in the creation of magical objects and consumable items in V Rising, making it a very valuable resource. Fortunately, there are a variety of ways to get Grave Dust, and it becomes increasingly easy to obtain the material as fans progress through the game. This guide will detail three different methods for earning Grave Dust in V Rising, and fans should employ them based on their current level of progression.

V Rising: How to Get Grave Dust

Farm Graveyards

Players can start their Grave Dust stockpiles by killing the enemies that appear in Farbane Woods's graveyards. The graveyards that survival game fans will have access to most immediately upon starting V Rising are the Desecrated Graveyard and the Infested Graveyard, and they have been marked on the map that is below. Eventually, players can move their farming to the Forgotten Cemetery in the middle of the Farbane Woods to increase their rate of Grave Dust acquisition.

v rising grave dust Grinder

After making a bit of progress, players will build Grinders near their Castle Hearts, and these workbenches provide another opportunity for earning Grave Dust. Indeed, V Rising's Grinder has the ability to transmute Bone into Grave Dust, and fans should plan to start feeding their excess Bone into the construction as soon as they have it established. Notably, placing the Grinder in an enclosed room will improve its conversion rate, allowing players to get more out of their Bones.

Tombs

Tombs are structures that allow fans to spawn enemies in their bases, and the majority of them have the potential to drop Grave Dust. To unlock the ability to construct Tombs, players must simply defeat Goreswine the Ravager, a Level 27 boss that can be tracked through V Rising's Blood Altar. Dispatching this foe will also grant fans the ability to summon Ghouls at their Tombs, and indeed those enemies will occasionally provide Grave Dust when they are slain.

To note, players will need an abundance of Mourning Lilies in order to spawn Ghouls at their bases. These flowers can be found in the Farbane Woods graveyards that were mentioned in a previous section, and fans should make sure to collect them when they are farming Grave Dust in those areas. It is also worth mentioning that Ghouls have a chance to drop Bones as well, which players can then put into their Grinders for even more of this valuable V Rising resource.

V Rising is in early access on PC.
