Cotton Yarn and Cloth are two important crafting reagents in V Rising, and it is possible to craft both of them. In order to create these materials, players must first unlock and establish a Loom, a workstation that can be built within a castle. This guide is here to walk fans through this process, and it contains all the information that they need to make Cotton Yarn and Cloth in V Rising.

Updated May 11, 2024 by Marc Santos: The main method of crafting Cotton Yarn and Cloth in V Rising has remained the same despite the game graduating from early access. Everyone who already knows how to set up their tailoring stations should have no trouble adjusting to the V Rising's full release version, though newer players may be confused as to how to get these resources. This guide has been updated to give better clarity on how to get Cotton Yarn and Cloth relative to the game's latest patch version.

You can tweak your vampire's appearance in V Rising via a number of ways. Here's how to do it.

V Rising: How to Get Loom

Beatrice the Tailor in V Rising

As previously noted, the Loom is the key to crafting both Cotton Yarn and Cloth, and players can unlock its recipe by defeating Beatrice the Tailor, a Level 40 boss. To find Beatrice, all players need to do is open the menu screen, go to the V Blood section, locate her in the list of V Rising bosses, and click on "Track Blood" beneath the rewards that she grants. Follow the blood trail that appears to find her.

Beatrice is almost always inside Dawnbreak Village. While she poses no threat at all, the village itself is full of militia fighters who can do a real number against poorly-equipped vampires. Deal with them whichever way you want, absorb Beatrice's V Blood, then run back home to create your first Loom by combining 12 Copper Ingots, 20 Planks, and 4 Wool Thread.

Players can use their Looms to create Cotton Yarn as soon as they have established the structure, provided that they have enough Cotton to support the endeavor. Indeed, each Cotton Yarn is made from 15 Cotton, and that V Rising material comes from the various Cotton Farms that are scattered across the Dunley Farmlands. These farms can be found all over the region — hover your mouse over marked areas to see which resources they yield.

All crafting stations will produce items faster and for less resources if placed inside a room with a matching floor type.

To note, players will need a Merciless Copper weapon or better to harvest Cotton from the associated plants. Fans must also fulfill this requirement if they hope to mine Iron Ore in V Rising. It is possible to earn Merciless Copper weapon recipes by buying them from vendors or finding them randomly as enemy drops or chest loot. They can also be unlocked via the Study, though players that are interested in pursuing that option should be prepared to use quite a lot of Paper.

V Rising: How to Make Cloth

Cloth in V Rising

It is very easy to make Cloth, as it simply requires players to feed 4 Leather and 8 Plant Fiber into the Loom. The first of these materials can be made after fans build a Tannery in V Rising, and they will earn the recipe for that structure upon defeating an early-game boss known as Keely the Frost Archer. The Plant Fiber, on the other hand, can be collected directly from the foliage that populates the landscape.
