Acid rain is a downpour that contains harmful pollution in our world. In the Pokemon games, this is a slightly beneficial glitch that can occur at random during any travel route with a weather effect present. This glitch is the perfect example of the game code getting confused, and it causes all possible weather effects in the game to start happening at the same time.

This means that it will rain, hail, bring sand, add harsh sunlight, and roll in fog all at the same time. Though this might sound detrimental to an inexperienced player, the Acid Rain glitch is great for players who know what it can do. It can give players access to one turn solar beams, and a guaranteed hit from Blizzard without waiting a turn to set up a specific type of weather. However, some Pokemon, like Cherrim, can get stuck in an infinite loop of changing forms, so there are some risks to this glitch.

The first generation Pokemon games had so much information to store in those old Game Boy cartridges, it was inevitable that glitches would occur. One of the most popular glitches in this game allowed the player to walk through walls and clip through terrain. As expected, this glitch made avoiding certain trainers and getting through the Safari Zone a breeze.

There are plenty of dangerous areas for players to explore in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, but some offer greater challenges that others.

To activate this glitch, the player must have one poisoned Pokemon in their party. Then they must go to the Safari Zone and leave. Just as the guard asks if the player wants to leave, they must select "No," then save and reset the game. Once reloaded, the player can then leave the Safari Zone and find a ledge. Watch the poisoned Pokemon's health, and jump down the ledge just as the Pokemon is about to faint. It may take a few tries, but once they get it to work, players will end up back in the Safari Zone building with the ability to walk through walls.

Catching all the Pokemon in a game can be difficult. A lot of new Pokemon players only use their starter anyway, but this is never enough to get through the entire game. Fortunately, the Generation 2 games have a glitch that allows the player to clone their Pokemon in the PC.

This glitch can be started by simply depositing a Pokemon in the PC. Then swap to an empty box. When switching to a new box, the game will ask the player if they want to save the game. Click yes, but turn the game off quickly during the saving screen. If the glitch is successful, there should be a copy of the deposited Pokemon in the empty box. This can be done multiple times to get a full team of six of the same Pokemon.

3 Obtaining Celbi

Getting An Event Pokemon

Pokemon Celebi

Legendary Pokemon in the franchise are unique creatures that normally have stats higher than those of regular Pokemon. Unfortunately, it is almost impossible to get the Legendary Pokemon, Celebi, in an original copy of the Generation 2 games, as it was only distributed as an event Pokemon. However, players can get Celebi using this glitch.

To cause this glitch, players must first have beaten the Elite Four and have access to Bill's PC system. Then, the player must clone five Sneasel's using the clone glitch, four good clones, and one bad clone. Then use the PC that is in the Pokemon daycare near Goldenrod. Move the bad Sneasel from the party into a box and swap it with another random Pokemon to the front of the party. Next, release this random Pokemon and the good Sneasel clones, and give the last Sneasel to the daycare man. Take the bad Sneasel back, and then give the man the original SNeasel to raise. When they're ready to get this Sneasel back, it should hhave transformed into a Celebi that can be used in battle but does not get added to the Pokedex.

This glitch requires the player to have beaten Nugget Bridge in Cerulean City, and to have caught an Abra. First, the player must go to the trainer in the grass to the left of Nugget Bridge and save the game before a battle can start. Then head up to the route to the north and turn off the game when facing the first hiker. When the game reopens, the fight with the trainer in the grass will begin again, but the player must use Abra to teleport away again before the battle starts. Once free, the player can then go back up Nugget Bridge to fight and defeat the Youngster with the level 17 Slowpoke. After teleporting back to the Pokemon Centre and pressing B, a level 7 Mew should appear.

1 Missingno

The Most Famous Generation One Glitch

Pokemon Missingno Glitch

Missingno is one of the most well-known glitches in gaming history. This pixelated block of data is supposed to represent a missing Pokemon in the generation one games, but catching it allows the player to duplicate any item in their bag, including Rare Candies and Master Balls.

To catch Missingno, players must first watch the tutorial of how to catch Pokemon from the old man in Viridian City and then fly straight to Cinnabar Island. After surfing on the east shoreline of the island, a wild Missingno should appear. Catching this will allow players to use the duplication glitch. Even if the player does not win their fight against this mistake, the sixth item in their inventory is always duplicated. However, repeating this glitch for more items is not advised as the Missingno glitch has been known to corrupt save files.
