Australian indie studio House House, best known for Untitled Goose Game, reveals a brand-new bizarre game known as Big Walk, which will be releasing in 2025. Alongside a host of awards being presented, The Game Awards 2023 showed off plenty of new AAA and indie games for fans to look forward to. These include surprise reveals from developers like Moon Studios, revealing a brand-new indie game called No Rest for the Wicked, to Bandai Namco showing off a brand-new trailer for Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero.
House House first came into the gaming scene with the release of Push Me Pull You, a surreal game that tasked two players to move around while connected together in a sausage-like fashion. Untitled Goose Game, however, would be the title that would put the small Australian studio on the map, where players control a goose and cause all sorts of chaos among the population. Thanks to Untitled Goose Game's short but hilarious campaign, it became an instant hit, getting ported to multiple systems, including Nintendo Switch. House House is currently working on another game that has the same sense of surreal humor, Big Walk.

Revealed during The Game Awards 2023, Big Walk is touted to be releasing in 2025 for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. This is an online co-operative multiplayer adventure, set on an island somewhere in Australia. The trailer highlights this with the sounds of local wildlife, such as Kookaburras. The player characters in Big Walk are bipedal bird-like creatures, with the game taking part from a first-person perspective. From there, the player and their co-op partners can explore the island, solving puzzles together. According to House House, the game will put emphasis on figuring these challenges out as a group.
According to Jake Strasser, a developer at House House, Big Walk offers a relaxed direction that friends can play at their own pace and enjoy spending time together in the world. This includes a proximity voice chat system, allowing players to communicate as efficiently as possible while letting them get immersed in the world.

The island is inspired by the natural landscape of the southernmost point of mainland Australia, Wilsons Promontory National Park. This game is House House's most ambitious title yet, which was a big boon for publisher Panic. Panic had previously collaborated with House House in publishing Untitled Goose Game and is doing the same for Big Walk. Nick Suttner, Panic's Head of Publishing, stated he was nervous about the studio showing an online multiplayer game at first, but after seeing it, said it was a "refreshing" experience compared to other online multiplayer games.
