Is Until Dawn Coming to PS5 and PC?

As rumors swirl about Until Dawn being remastered for PS5 and PC, a new rumor has surfaced, suggesting that the port itself may be developed by Virtuos instead of Supermassive Games. Discovered by Reddit user KekanKok, a LinkedIn profile for animator Naceri Lu shows previous employment at Virtuos from 2019 to 2020, with the listed projects notably including Until Dawn. The entry lists Until Dawn as a “PC/Console Game,” suggesting the port may have been in progress for several years now. Virtuous has remastered and ported several other titles in the past, including games like Dark Souls: Remastered, The Outer Worlds, and Horizon Zero Dawn.

While there has been no official confirmation regarding the remaster, it possible that Sony will port Until Dawn to make the game more accessible to players as the hype surrounding its recently announced film adaptation builds. Sony has remastered other successful titles for the PS5 as well, such as The Last of Us Part 2, building the catalog of popular games available on the console. With involvement in the upcoming single-player Dead By Daylight game and the pending film adaptation, it’s likely Sony is interested in having Supermassive Games’ most popular title available as the attention of players is drawn to the studio.
