Elden Ring has proven to be quite the difficult game, sending many players to their untimely deaths. While many of the deaths occur during tough encounters with enemies, sometimes the game will take out a player in an unfortunate way. Elden Ring players have come to know that even the smallest miscalculation can mean death.

Elden Ring can be challenging. Players can die at a moment's notice, getting a game over screen after a small mistake. One player has experienced this, dying after missing a simple attack.

A Redditor by the name A_Lovable_Gnome uploaded a video showing their unfortunate death. In the short clip, the player take out an enemy, and then proceeds to jump across a gap as they attempt another kill. However, the attack misses, and A_Lovable_Gnome is kicked by the enemy, falling to their untimely death. It is one of the more ridiculous and sad Elden Ring deaths that shows how relentless the game is.

A_Lovable_Gnome's death is unfortunate as they seemed to be doing well at the beginning of the clip. They take out an opponent in grand fashion then skillfully jump across a chasm trying to take out another enemy, all while dodging an arrow. The Elden Ring gamer makes an epic play, only to trip up in the end.

Some commented that the A.I. in Elden Ring can be ruthless, with some jokingly applauding the enemy's well-timed kick. Some commend A_Lovable_Gnome for their skill for jumping the gap as smoothly as they did, only to be taken out by the most opportunistic attack. There are also a few joking that the player dies before they even hit the ground, with one stating, "the game was so embarrassed by you, it killed you off before hitting rock bottom." While the death was unfortunate, a good number of gamers stated that it was an impressive death. Some even empathized with A_Lovable_Gnome, sharing some unfortunate deaths of their own.

Dying the way that A_Lovable_Gnome did can be anger-inducing, but sometimes that anger can push a gamer too far. After rage-quitting Elden Ring, one gamer who goes by the handle WeebfromKonoha destroyed their controller. They uploaded a picture of what they did to their DualSense, and the damage was severe. The controller was nearly torn in half, with WeebfromKonoha captioning their photo "I think I'm done for tonight..." While the action is extreme, it shows how far Elden Ring can push players.

Elden Ring is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
