The spring 2022 anime season has brought back some old favorites and new obsessions, however, some shows aren't receiving the same fanfare. Newer manga adaptions such as Spy X Family are surging in the online anime community. At the same time, the third season of Love Is War and the second season of The Rising Of The Shield Hero are proving to be as popular as their previous seasons.

These anime aren't the only ones worth watching this season, although the aforementioned anime are also worth your time. Whether you are into romance, supernatural, or a time-travel musical, there is enough variety to appease every anime watcher during the current spring season.

Science Fell In Love, So I Tried To Prove It 2nd Season

science fell in love so i tried to prove it main couple

The second season of Science Fell In Love, So I Tried To Prove It continues where the equally underrated first season leaves off. Ayame Hirumo and Shinya Yukimura are Saitama University students using their scientific prowess to prove, or disprove, their love for each other the only way they know how; through scientific experiments. 'Edutainment', or educational entertainment anime has proven successful in the past, such as the commercial success of Cells At Work and the infamous Tumblr-led fandom of Hetalia, yet this anime flew under everyone's radar once again.

The progress made in the previous season is put on the line when the students discover their oxytocin level isn't the same as another couple in the same university. Both students become even more desperate to prove their love in other scientific ways, and this means more educational shenanigans ensue. Science Fell In Love, So I Tried To Prove It continues to be just as funny, smart, and educational as its seasonal predecessor and can be watched on Crunchyroll.

Summer Time Rendering

Summer Time Rendering is tonally different from many of the promotional images. Although the images being used to promote the anime are full of blue skies and young protagonists, the actual program is about suspected murder and supernatural forces. After Shinpei Ajiro's parents died, he moved in with the Kofune family until he moved off to college in Tokyo. However, he returns home to the Kofune family after finding out one of their daughters he grew up with, Ushio, drowned when trying to save someone else.

The plot changes from tragedy to intrigue when Shinpei is told about the suspicious bruising around Ushio's neck. Shinpei begins to investigate Hitogashima Island, but strange occurrences begin to crop up. Ushio's surviving sister suggests local folklore may not simply be fantasy, and this idea is strengthened by a strange vision and the discovery of a time loop. Summer Time Rendering is just getting started this season, so you can join in before the mystery is solved on Disney+ in Japan, which international viewers can access with a VPN.

Paripi Koumei

Paripi Koumei is by far the wildest entry on this list, but also has the highest ratings on MyAnimeList out of the three; despite the lack of popularity, those who have seen it have so far rated Paripi Koumei at 8.40 out of 10 at the writing of this article. Zhuge Kongming is an infamous tactician in third-century China, who falls gravely ill and wishes with his last breath to be reincarnated into a more peaceful era. This is when he is reincarnated into modern-day Tokyo as himself with all of his memories intact, stumbles into a nightclub, and meets an aspiring singer who he swiftly becomes the manager.

This leads to Zhuge Kongming utilizing his previous knowledge of war strategy to help the aspiring singer, Eiko Tsukimi, achieve her dreams of becoming a famous singer. This, of course, leads to wacky shenanigans that keep one-upping each other as the anime progresses. The anime studio responsible for this chaotic musical isekai is P.A. Works, who are known for heart-wrenching titles like Angel Beats, Another, and Charlotte. There are only a few more episodes to go, and you can watch them all on HIDIVE
