Yousuke "Ojisan" Shibazaki has managed to obtain some beautiful allies along his otherworldly travels, however, he spends an awful amount of time trying to distance himself from them. Seeing that Ojisan's face wasn't enough to scare these ladies off, his abrasive attitude does little to deter Mabel, Elf, and Alicia, from seeking out the orc-ish hero.

For numerous reasons (whereby Ojisan is usually at fault) this Uncle's interactions with these ravishing Granbahamal residents usually end in disaster and seem more fitting for a romantic comedy than a supernatural adventure, but are highly entertaining factors in Uncle From Another World, nonetheless.

The Ethereal Elf

Uncle From Another World: Getting to know Ojisan's Bevvy of Babes Tsundere Elf Isekai Ojisan Netflix

The first lovely lady to make an impression on this SEGA-obsessed Uncle is an intensely appealing elf who, for some or other reason, refuses to reveal her name. Elf is the most constant companion to Ojisan on his travels, relentlessly following the disinterested warrior around while coming up with the most convenient excuses for their regular run-ins.

This hoodie thief perfectly fulfills the Tsundere role with her brutal, love-sick treatment of the clueless Yousuke, who does everything in his power (literally) to escape his stalker's clutches. Elf seems almost offended by Ojisan's accidental engagement yet blushes profusely whenever she thinks he is making a pass at her and struggles to hide her jealousy when Mabel appears to be encroaching on her territory.

Elf has proven to be a fierce warrior capable of taking on and nearly vanquishing the Venom Dragon singlehandedly (before Ojisan swooped in to claim the victory, that is.) Even considering all the horrific trauma that Yousuke went through in Granbahamal, he cannot help but miss the hellhole while reminiscing about his strange elven friend.

The Melancholic Mabel

Uncle From Another World: Getting to know Ojisan's Bevvy of Babes Mabel

As the last descendant of the infamous Ice Clan, Mabel Rayveil comes with her own rich backstory in tow, and cannot wait to give viewers a blow-by-blow account of his family's Lore, until Elf pulled the rug from right under her. Nevertheless, fans are able to ascertain that Mabel's ancestor is one of the first heroes to be blessed by an Isekai Bonus and earns The Divine Frost Blade as a reward. This sword was subsequently passed down the generations until it landed in Mabel's possession (where it will likely stay, no thanks to Ojisan.)

The cold-hearted princess was shunned into isolation for most of her life, but Ojisan encourages her to embrace her solitude instead of seeing it as a rejection. This blue-haired babe manages to muster up enough energy to eventually travel, but her lazy lackluster attitude does nothing to help with her unemployment issues. It appears the young woman has no ambitions in life, other than sitting, sulking, and sleeping; but maybe Ojisan and Elf can whip her (back) into fighting shape.

The Alluring Alicia

Uncle From Another World: Getting to know Ojisan's Bevvy of Babes Alicia Isekai Ojisan Netflix

Viewers have not gotten much time to get to know the Hero of the story and they will have to wait for Isekai Ojisan's return to acquire more juicy details. Alicia's previous appearances were overlooked by all, as she merely melded into the crowd in many scenes, but is due to become a recurring main character from episode 7 onwards (even if she can't remember it).

Alicia and her friends are technically the first friends Ojisan has made during his adventures (and possibly in his lifetime too) which is no surprise considering how sweet, kind, and empathetic Alicia is. She is one of the few people that Ojisan has met who has not judged his qualities based on his unappealing appearance and encourages Edgar and Raiga to offer the same courtesy. She does not seem to possess any flaws besides her lack of physical strength, but it appears her magical capabilities make up for it; or do they?

It seems Alicia's Heroine status is merely a reflection of Ojisan's magnificent skills, but, because he keeps erasing their memories, the credit keeps falling on Alicia. The difficulty of her quests keeps increasing as a result, causing this unfortunate Uncle to reconnect with his friends in order to save them from peril, and the disastrous cycle repeats once again.

The Gender-Bending Uncle

It is unclear how much control Ojisan has over his transformative abilities, however, the fact that he chose to use Elf's form speaks volumes because, whether consciously or subconsciously, Ojisan reveals his sentimental side by adopting his "bestie's" body. He claims to have spent the majority of his time in Granbahamal trying to evade the annoying character and yet, he seizes the first chance he gets to see her again. If Elf's constant presence was truly as vexing as Ojisan made it out to be, then she would be the last on the list of skin-walking options, not the first.

The Fickle Fujimiya

Uncle From Another World: Getting to know Ojisan's Bevvy of Babes Ojisan and Fujimiya Isekai Ojisan Netflix

While Fujimiya is technically Takafumi's friend, she regularly interacts with Ojisan and could be the key to helping the old man connect the dots regarding his intricate relationships. It is quite ironic that Yousuke seems fully aware of Fujimiya's hidden feelings for Takafumi and he often tries to help the pair connect in the love department, but he is still incapable of seeing the romantic (and erotic) potential of his own past.

Hopefully, somewhere along the way, Ojisan's vision will clear when he compares Fujimiya's actions to that of his harem and finally understands the social cues associated with the law of attraction. Viewers hoped it would have been when Fujimiya was wearing Elf's stunning dress, but alas. This Uncle might need a Rent-A-Girlfriend-styled intervention to knock some sense into him.

Ojisan is ever-so-smooth on a number of occasions, finds himself in multiple compromising (yet opportunistic) positions, and has proposed to two different ladies (so far). He is surprisingly charming during his first drunken experience and takes the ravishing Tsundere Elf home that night with minimal effort, however, he is completely unaware of the affections his harem holds for him. Ojisan was a youngster when he entered Granbahamal and is mentally still quite immature. He has essentially spent most of his life alone or alongside his SEGA Saturn, so give the guy some credit, he is still learning.

Uncle From Another World is due to return with episode 8 on 25 November 2022, although it is unclear if Netflix will share this release date.
