Earlier today, PlayStation held a showcase unveiling some of its biggest projects coming in the next few years. Players got their first glimpse of God of War Ragnarok, witnessed an early look at Peter Parker and Miles Morales' next adventure in Marvel's Spider-Man 2, and saw Insomniac reveal an official Wolverine game.

In the lineup of announcements was the reveal that Uncharted 4: A Thief's End and Uncharted: Lost Legacy will officially be making their way to PC and PlayStation 5 as the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection. During the conference, Sony showed off a brand new trailer for the remastered PlayStation 4 games, with the footage confirming the bundle will launch in early 2022.

As for what will be upgraded to match the bump up in hardware, Sony hasn't shared many details just yet, with a post over on the PlayStation Blog teasing that it will reveal more closer to launch. However, the footage shown during the showcase seems to hint both games will sport visual enhancements as well as a big boost in frame rate. The post also confirms that Iron Galaxy will be tackling the PC port, which will be the first time an Uncharted game has made its way to the platform.

For those who haven't played the two titles, Uncharted 4 follows an older, retired Nathan Drake following the events of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception. Although the globetrotting protagonist has settled down, he's suddenly thrown into a new adventure when his brother seemingly returns from the dead and requests his help. The ensuing journey sees players travel the world, solve ancient mysteries, battle shady mercenary groups, and witness the final act of Drake's story.

Meanwhile, Lost Legacy takes place after the events of A Thief's End, following former-side-character Chloe Frazer and Uncharted 4 antagonist Nadine Ross. The plot sees the pair of unlikely allies embark on a quest to India in search of the Tusk of Ganesh, battling a new threat in an effort to recover the artifact. Unlike other Uncharted games, Lost Legacy's campaign offered more open-ended gameplay, with a significant portion of the experience seeing players navigate a large hub filled with objectives that can be tackled in any order.

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection joins the growing lineup of PlayStation exclusives making their way to PC, with the platform recently getting hits like Horizon: Zero Dawn, Death Stranding, and Day's Gone. Seeing as both games were some of the PlayStation 4's most successful exclusives, they're sure to find a huge new audience ready to get stuck into some cinematic Uncharted action.

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is set to launch early next year on PC and PlayStation 5.
