Recent tensions across the world have left many living in Ukraine in need of care and assistance after suffering devastating attacks. In such a dramatic time of need, plenty of gaming companies are coming to aid the people through donation sites and charities generated from their own revenue.

With many people fleeing Ukraine to seek safety, including Savage Game Designs helping developers escape the country, many game studios are making impactful efforts to assist with the humanitarian crisis that has been unfolding. This has been achieved with large donations from dev teams, but also with gamers being encouraged to donate what they can along with purchasing charity bundles.

Big companies that have already made significant donations include CD Projekt Red, and Destiny developer Bungie, who has offered support to victims of the invasion by donating 100% of the proceeds from the first 48 hours of its Game2Give drive towards humanitarian aid efforts, with additional charity links so that direct donations can be made. Now that gamers have the chance to donate too, additional game bundles are on offer as a strong incentive to get people supporting those in need with plenty of online resources being shared on social media to promote the cause. STALKER 2 developer GSC Game World is just one of many teams who have issued statements on the Ukraine invasion, but also acknowledged that more than words are required to show support. Closer to the conflict zone, immense effort is being undertaken to house and protect displaced Ukrainian civilians through providing aid directly. The creator of Frostpunk, 11 Bit Studios, is a studio situated in Poland bordering Ukraine, and the studio has announced that all profits from sales of the topical game This War of Mine will be donated to the Ukrainian Red Cross.

Other small indie developers are determined to do their bit as well, making use of game bundles such as the Humble Bundle collections to support charitable causes. The teams at Anego Studios and Necrosoft Games are organizing charity game bundles for gamers which will direct a portion of the funds to beneficial charities offering aid to Ukrainian children and healthcare. Necrosoft Games have stated their bundle will be released on March 7 and all money raised will be split equally between the charities.

During these uncertain times causing repercussions across the world, it's great to see generous donations from gamers and game developers.
