Launching on PC back in 2018, Two Point Hospital was a spiritual successor to Bullfrog's iconic tycoon game Theme Hospital, offering players the chance to build intricate healthcare facilities and help patients with a range of zany problems. Today, it seems a follow-up to the game was leaked, with Two Point Campus appearing on the Microsoft Store before quickly being pulled from the website.

First spotted by Twitter user @_h0x0d_, the game appears to port Two Point Hospital's quirky tycoon gameplay over to the world of education, with players building elaborate universities and helping their students excel in their chosen studies. Some of the listing's screenshots (which can now be found alongside the game's description via a post by TurinTur on Quarter to Three's forums) show that it will continue Two Point's tongue-in-cheek style, with students cooking giant pizzas and engaging in fierce jousting battles.

According to Microsoft's now-pulled description, Two Point Campus will allow players to create sprawling universities with a range of new creative options. They'll be able to build outside for the first time, with images showcasing large medieval fairs that can be constructed on campus grounds, while they'll also be able to easily create pathways using simple new tools.

Players will have to think about the wants and needs of their students while constructing their campus, with the game tasking them with implementing facilities for a variety of courses while also making sure attendees can socialize with friends. To accomplish the latter, they'll need to add societies, gigs, and clubs for students to forge relationships at, offering a well-rounded university experience.

Microsoft's listing didn't offer a release date, although it did reveal that the game will be coming to PC and Xbox One at some point in the future. Ultimately, it looks like an interesting follow-up to Two Point Hospital, building on the game's fun-focused tycoon gameplay in a very different setting.

It seems wise to imagine the leak is telegraphing an official reveal at E3 next week, which will have several showcases from some of the industry's biggest names. Microsoft will be hosting a conference alongside Bethesda on June 12, where fans are expecting to see titles like Halo Infinite, Fable, and Starfield. Meanwhile, Nintendo, Square Enix, Bandai Namco, and several others will also hold showcases of their own, offering early looks at some of the biggest games coming later this year and beyond. The entire convention will take place digitally, with players able to register later this week to get access to the online portal. Through it, they'll be able to access virtual booths, online forums, and even a leaderboard they can use to compete against each other.

Two Point Campus is seemingly in development for PC and Xbox One.
