Popular Twitch streamers are typically familiar with each other and Felix "xQc" Lengyel was recently watching an Imane "Pokimane" Anys stream when he had some criticism. According to the Canadian Twitch streamer, Pokimane may have returned to the platform for the wrong reasons.
Pokimane took a Twitch hiatus that began in late August and lasted until September 8. Before leaving, the popular Twitch streamer suggested that it was time for a change and that she no longer wants to be a "should-er." Her Twitch break wasn't simply for an attitude change as Pokimane stated that she needed to figure some things out and "re-prioritize life."
Pokimane has seemingly adopted a more carefree attitude since her return to Twitch after her hiatus. The Twitch streamer herself admitted that she used to do a lot of things because she felt like she needed to rather than just doing what she wanted to do. Pokimane stated that her time playing things safe on Twitch is over before returning to the platform with her new attitude.
Pokimane recently revealed a new skateboard deck that she purchased that featured a graphic image on it which some members of her community were shocked by. The skateboard featured a detailed graphic of a crying woman with a tentacle in her mouth. Pokimane stated that she thought the black and white skateboard was really cool and she appreciated the artwork of it.
During a Twitch stream on September 22, xQc watched Pokimane berate a fan who criticized her new stream intro. The Pokimane fan made a comment about her new Twitch intro being "dog s***." After hitting back at the Twitch viewer, Pokimane shared a literal photo of dog feces to illustrate her point that it's a lot different. This is when xQc began criticizing the returning Pokimane, calling the response "stupid."
“That is so dumb, right? Why would anybody do this?” said xQc in response to Pokimane's photo of dog feces. Although xQc has lashed out at some trolls in his Twitch chat before, the French Canadian has yet to resort to graphic imagery. Twitch streamers are almost all familiar with trolls on the platform, but Pokimane's response to recent criticism is a unique way of dealing with them. Many Pokimane fans have different ideas of what has caused the Twitch streamer's recent changes, but xQc has an idea of his own. According to xQc, Pokimane is trying to be rebellious these days and he thinks that the recent changes come off as a bit weird. While Pokimane has been no stranger to swearing or crass behavior in the past, viewers like xQc see the recent changes as too rebellious.
