Despite numerous delays, Overwatch 2 is still proving to be an incredibly popular title, even as the game is currently only available in its beta form. The Overwatch 2 beta has been reaching a huge amount of viewers on Twitch, surpassing 1 million concurrent watchers recently. As streamers and players uncover the latest changes in Overwatch's sequel, popular streamer xQc has been analyzing the rework of one particular robot character, Bastion.

Twitch streamer xQc has been playing Overwatch 2 since alpha and has made his opinions known on the game throughout his play time with it. As the beta for the game has got into full swing, he has been able to see more of the game and make clearer judgments on how strong certain characters are. One character that xQc believes to be incredibly strong in Overwatch 2 is Bastion, as he showed in a recent gameplay clip. Bastion has received a rework for Overwatch 2, making the character much more mobile while keeping his abilities that allow him to deal great amounts of damage.

This means that unlike in Overwatch, where Bastion was a high damage dealer but suffered if his turret location was compromised, Overwatch 2's Bastion can shred through enemies wherever he pleases. In a gameplay clip, xQc shows off Bastion's new strengths and appears to be in disbelief as he eliminates three enemy players before any of them have a chance to react. Overwatch 2's Bastion rework was first revealed in 2021, but it seems that unless a player tries out the new character in-game they won't see how strong he is now.

XQc's history with Overwatch is a long one, as the streamer began his career in gaming as a pro Overwatch player. While it has been a long time since xQc played Overwatch professionally, he has still kept up with the game and how it has changed over the years. He's also often willing to share his thoughts on the latest Overwatch developments. Last year, following the fallout of Activision Blizzard's allegations, he commented on the subsequent McCree name change.

Bastion isn't the only hero getting a rework in Overwatch 2. Doomfist, Orisa, and other characters are getting major reworks to have them appear fresh for Overwatch 2. Considering so many characters are making the jump from the first Overwatch game to the second, it is important to make sure fans don't just see the same abilities and strategies.

Overwatch 2 is in development.
