A Twitch streamer has completed a no-hit run of seven consecutive FromSoftware titles, from Demon's Souls to Elden Ring. The achievement was the culmination of approximately four months of attempts and heartbreaking failures, making it the second known time that this particular challenge, which includes newest FromSoftware game Elden Ring, has been accomplished.FromSoftware releases have a storied history with challenge runs, everything from those that break the games in order to finish them as quickly as possible, to using only the worst weapons available in vanquishing the punishing boss fights ahead. Although a present staple of the Soulsborne community, completing the titles without taking a single hit was, for the longest time, considered an impossibility, a sentiment expressed even by FromSoftware creative director Hidetaka Miyazaki. But after The Happy Hob defeated Gwyn in 2015, having taken no hits from enemies for that entire playthrough of Dark Souls, an entire challenge genre was born.RELATED: Elden Ring Player Beats Game in 2.5 Hours Without Leveling Up or Getting Hit OncePromoted on Twitter with a clip from their stream, dinossindgeil can be seen defeating the Soul of Cinder, Dark Souls 3's final boss, excluding expansions. Also known as Nico, the no-hit runner slashes away at the reincarnation of Gwyn's power as it tries to launch lightning into the air, ending the existence of the one who most recently linked the fire, and becoming a certified gaming legend in the process. Laughter is interspersed with unbridled jubilation, the OST for Divinity: Original Sin 2 playing in the background as his wife embraces him. Tears start to stream as he reflects on the 120 days that were dedicated to completing the "Soulsbornekiroring" challenge, a title that best splices together the name of every game involved.

This is known as the third iteration of The God Run, with the original performed by The Happy Hob including the Dark Souls trilogy, Bloodborne, and Demon's Souls. Since then, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Elden Ring have been added to the FromSoftware catalog, both introducing a new version of The God Run. The God Run 3 was previously completed by BushidoYu, who did the same seven-game no-hit challenge back in September.

For those curious about why Nico's health is low, or that not every boss was defeated, the context is that this is considered an Any% No-Hit run. The first designation means that the titles can be finished by any means necessary, excluding glitches or anything deemed game breaking, which, for FromSoftware games, typically means skipping any non-essential bosses. A "hit" is considered any damage or stagger inflicted by an enemy or boss, meaning that damage taken by falling is valid, and is often used in conjunction with other equipment to increase damage output in FromSoftware titles.

Elden Ring is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
