Twitch is seen by many as the largest current streaming platform. In 2021, it was revealed that the broadcasting platform is still going strong, with viewership soaring as Twitch fans spent a huge 24 billion hours watching streams in 2021. Often, Twitch's popularity is attributed to the variety of content viewers can see. From gaming to chatting with streamers, there's plenty of interests covered by streamers on the platform. However, this does not mean that people can stream whatever they want on Twitch, something that the platform has often reminded streamers of.

Twitch bans have been given out more rapidly in recent years, as Twitch looks to crack down on its policy guidelines, making the platform more advertiser and user-friendly. Some of Twitch's most popular streamers such as Amouranth and xQc, have been given multiple bans over the course of their streaming careers, though for some who cross a line with Twitch, such as JiDion, the ban becomes a permanent one.

Popular streamer STPeach is now the latest big name to be banned from Twitch, after a stream where the streamer dressed as Cammy from Street Fighter 5 ended with her getting banned. The costume proved popular with fans, and STPeach was able to earn over $10K for charity Gamers For Love, an organization seeking to benefit children with life-threatening conditions while building them a more sustainable future.

STPeach took to Twitter in order to poke fun at the ban, stating "next time I’ll make sure to bring a hot tub out," implying that she may not have been banned were she to have skirted around Twitch's policy against nudity. Comments in the Twitter post pointed out that were STPeach streaming in the hot tub category, she could have allowed for viewers to know what they were getting into. STPeach has often been one to test the waters when it comes to Twitch's policy guidelines, developing metas like hot tub and dance streams.

STPeach has so far not revealed when her ban will be lifted, though surprisingly this is not the first time someone has been banned on Twitch for wearing a Street Fighter 5 costume. Streamer "quqco" was banned in 2019 for wearing a Chun-Li outfit, leading to some joking that Twitch has something against the hit fighting game series. What is more likely though, is that Twitch is holding strict views on what is considered inappropriate content that it believes shouldn't be allowed on the platform.
