As many may know by now, there was a massive Twitch leak where a hacker managed to get hands on 125 GBs worth of the site’s data. This included user details and passwords, the site’s source code, and pay for many popular Twitch streamers like xQc and Asmongold. Twitch offered an update late on the night of October 6, detailing that this happened because of an error in a Twitch server configuration; as an act of caution, Twitch also reset all Stream Keys early on October 7.

While there’s likely more that’ll be revealed in the coming days, it has been all the talk within streaming circles. Many Twitch streamers have commented on it, on how much they make on Twitch like Asmongold, and how the top paid streamers are not all that surprising. Eventually, of course, someone asked Dr Disrespect for his opinion on the Twitch leak, and he was short and to the point.

“I don’t f*cking care” was Dr Disrespect’s response. He’d move on to discuss a few other things with chat, continue to stream on Warzone and Battlefield 2042 beta, and leave it at that. Dr Disrespect may have stopped himself from commenting on it more due to his pursuit of legal action against Twitch, which is entirely understandable but only speculation. (Doc’s comments are seen at the 27:09 mark below.)

While Dr Disrespect has confirmed he knows why Twitch banned him, no one outside the situation does. It’ll hopefully come to light one day, but Dr Disrespect had left a massive mark on the streaming service. In fact, the Doc is mentioned in these leaks—as confirmed by Dexerto—with it revealing he made $2,863,780.63 (before taxes) between September 2019 and his August 2020 ban. His marker in Twitch’s database is marked as “Unknown,” but Dexerto managed to confirm it via string codes.

It’s been over a year since Dr Disrespect’s mysterious ban and his contract with Twitch would have ended last month. Early on, this ban led to many rumors that Dr Disrespect had done something illegal, had been trying to set up/join a new competitive streaming service, and more. Not only was this damaging to his reputation, but Dr Disrespect has—on multiple occasions—talked about the loss, anxiety, and aftermath the Twitch ban had on him. Yet, if any of the most malicious rumors had been true, fans would have likely learned about it by now.

The next chapter in the Dr Disrespect vs. Twitch saga is unclear, but it’s still one of the biggest moments in Twitch history. Fans will just have to wait and see what comes of it, who wins, and—one day—why it happened.
