The Talos Principle 2 has many similarities to its predecessor, with the runtime once again being split between both mind-bending puzzles and mind-bending philosophy. Another similarity is that the game continuously and unapologetically ramps up the difficulty more and more as players progress. This is evident even as early as Grasslands Ring, as the game immediately introduces a new puzzle mechanic to the series - RGB conversion - and then continues to throw more layers on the puzzle mechanic in each level.

Castling - the third puzzle in Grasslands Ring - is a good example of this; just three puzzles into a new mechanic introduced in RGB Shifting, players have to intricately coordinate multiple colors using two RGB Converters that must be smartly placed so their lights don't intersect, and they must glow red despite there no blue Light Generator available, which has previously been essential to creating red.

The first challenge with Castling starts before players have even entered the stage, though, as it's far removed from the first two puzzles. Thankfully, a set of arrows on signs scattered across Grasslands Ring will guide players to the destination.

How to Solve Castling (Grasslands Ring Puzzle 3)

Two RGB Converters connected to each other

Blue + Green = Red

Red + Green = Blue

Blue + Red = Green

To start with, go ahead and pick up the freely available RGB Converter, then select the blue Light Receiver, green Light Generator, and red Light Generator. Although the Energy Gate to the green Light Receiver is closed, the connections will still be made when players place the RGB Converter on the red Pressure Plate. The Energy Gate with the blue Light Receiver will now be open; head inside, grab the other RBG Converter and place it somewhere outside of the Energy Gate.

Next, pick up the RGB Converter that is sitting on the Pressure Plate and select the green and red Light Generators, which will turn the Converter blue. Leave it a couple of steps in front (closer to the entrance) of the Pressure Plate.

Grab the other RGB Converter and select the green Light Receiver, the now-blue RGB Converter, and the red Light Receiver at the exit gate. Finally, place the RGB Converter on the pressure plate, and the exit's Energy Gate will open. Head through the Energy Gate and finish the level by using the Progress Wheel.
