Tower of Fantasy is one of the newer free-to-play Gacha MMOs developed by Hotta Studio. The game presents itself as a sci-fi flavored Genshin Impact, with players exploring Tower of Fantasy's open world and rolling for equipment and party members.

Like most MMOs, Tower of Fantasy has multiple progression tracks. These include leveling up individual weapons or powering up specific characters.

One of the most important stats to progress is the player's Wanderer Level. This is their overall level, disconnected from any specific character or gear, and it's used in several of the game's mechanics and systems. Players shouldn't rush to fill it up, though. The game has a system in place to limit the player's early growth.

Tower of Fantasy's Daily Level Cap

Tower of Fantasy's overall Wanderer Level cap is 70. It's impossible to reach that level, however, for at least 88 days. This isn't due to the breadth of content, although Tower of Fantasy does offer plenty to explore. It's because of a hard-coded limit: the daily max level cap.

Simply put, on the player's first day playing, they can only reach Wanderer Level 18. On their second day playing, they can only reach Wanderer Level 24. This continues up until day 88 when they can reach Wanderer Level 70. The full set of level caps is listed below:

  • Day 1: Level 18
  • Day 2: Level 24
  • Day 3: Level 27
  • Day 4: Level 30
  • Day 5: Level 32
  • Day 6: Level 34
  • Day 7: Level 36
  • Day 8: Level 38
  • Day 9: Level 40
  • Day 11: Level 42
  • Day 13: Level 44
  • Day 15: Level 46
  • Day 17: Level 47
  • Day 19: Level 48
  • Day 21: Level 49
  • Day 23: Level 50
  • Day 25: Level 51
  • Day 27: Level 52
  • Day 29: Level 53
  • Day 31: Level 54
  • Day 34: Level 55
  • Day 37: Level 56
  • Day 40: Level 57
  • Day 43: Level 58
  • Day 46: Level 59
  • Day 49: Level 60
  • Day 52: Level 61
  • Day 56: Level 62
  • Day 60: Level 63
  • Day 64: Level 64
  • Day 68: Level 65
  • Day 72: Level 66
  • Day 76: Level 67
  • Day 80: Level 68
  • Day 84: Level 69
  • Day 88: Level 70

It's important to note that players cannot stock XP for future days. In other words, once they hit that day's level cap, any extra XP earned afterward is tossed into the void.

Why The Daily Level Cap is There

This system might seem like an arbitrary limit, but there are a few good reasons why it's there. For one, it discourages unnecessary grinding and encourages players to spread out their play sessions.

Tower of Fantasy is also a gacha game and thus has to deal with the difficulty of rewarding paying players without breaking the game. The daily limit makes sure that players who can roll more don't get too much of a runaway advantage.

Tower of Fantasy is available now for Mobile and PC.
