Tower of Fantasy is one of the latest gacha games and had an incredibly strong launch. With more SSR characters being added to the roster, there's now more flexibility when it comes to the best team compositions in Tower of Fantasy. Players now have a deeper understanding of who pairs best with who, even the lower-end characters.

Whether fans of the game have limited-time characters such as Claudia or they have a selection of standard banner characters like Shiro and Meryl, there are plenty of optimal team compositions that will boost overall damage and support capabilities. The main focus is what sort of character they are gameplay-wise, with all playable characters either being DPS, healer (support), or tank (defense).

5 Claudia, Shiro, & Nemesis

Claudia is a limited-time SSR character who first appeared in Tower of Fantasy in September 2022 for Western audiences. Limited-time characters can only be obtained by spending red nuclei. Her resonance is physical, meaning she doesn't have an elemental ability such as volt or fire. Claudia is classed as a DPS character and has a pretty short cooldown on her skill, which results in her damage output increasing significantly. Players wanting to focus more on her physical resonance will benefit the most from adding Shiro and Nemesis to her team.

Shiro also has physical resonance as well as being classed as a DPS character, whereas Nemesis has volt resonance and is a support/healer. When two DPS characters are in the same team, the final damage is raised by 10%, and as a team, this leads to an overall 40% increase. Nemesis creates a circle of healing around her when she dashes, which heals the player themselves, and anyone in their party. This team composition provides a high output of damage, whilst also having a handy support character to keep the player's HP up.

4 Meryl, Huma, & King

Meryl is an SSR melee character on the standard banner in Tower of Fantasy, meaning she is always available for players. Meryl has ice resonance and is classed as a defense character with a strong ability to break the enemy's shields. She's got one of the most powerful shatter percentages in the game and is a must for those wanting to use a team that leans more on the defensive side. The best team composition for Meryl would be Huma and King. Huma will take the role of the tank, and having two defense characters on one team adds the fortitude buff.

This buff raises the overall damage reduction by 25%, boosts the shatter stat by 60%, and increases aggro by 800%. When playing in a team, the damage reduction percentage is increased by 20%. This team composition allows Huma to provide plenty of damage reduction and can set enemies on fire with her fire resonance abilities. Additionally, King also resonates with fire and, like Meryl, has a remarkably high shatter stat, which enables him to crack through shields quickly. This is a great team for co-op play too, with these characters being an ideal choice for players wanting to fill the tank role.

3 Pepper, Nemesis, & Samir

Pepper is a useful SR character thanks to her healing capabilities. She is the first healer that most players obtain, with SR characters being a lot easier to get than SSRs. Tower of Fantasy's Pepper resonates with the volt elements and is purely a support character. While she does output DPS, most players tend to rely on her healing skill and discharge. She's excellent for those who haven't acquired Cocoritter yet, who is a much stronger support. The best team composition for Pepper would be Nemesis and Samir, with Nemesis being an additional support character on the team and Samir being the one who produces the most DPS.

While nobody in this team is classed as a defense character, meaning there's no tank, the double support will increase healing with the benediction buff. This buff boosts healing by 100% and is raised to 200% when playing in a team. All characters in this team composition resonate with voltage. With Nemesis's passive healing circle while she dashes and attacks the enemy, Samir's ranged combat, and Pepper's focus on healing, this team is a perfect choice for players wanting to be the support role when playing co-op.

2 Cocoritter, Zero, & Shiro

Cocoritter is an SSR character who resonates with ice and is a powerful support for any team in Tower of Fantasy. She works best when paired with other support characters such as Nemesis, but for those wanting to have great DPS as well as robust healing capabilities, the best team composition for Cocoritter would be Zero and Shiro. Zero resonates with fire and is also a support character that provides shields and healing during combat. Due to this team having two support characters, the benediction buff will increase healing by 100% and is heightened to 200% when playing in a team.

Shiro is a popular choice for her shatter stat, as she can easily break through the enemy's shields. Shiro is a physical DPS, allowing her to provide high DPS alongside Zero, who can supply shields and extra healing, as Cocoritter produces the majority of healing for the team. Shiro is also useful for attacking multiple enemies at once with her area of effect (AOE) attacks as Zero strikes with his fire abilities.

1 Crow, Meryl, & Nemesis

Crow resonates with the volt elements and is a DPS character. He benefits from ambushing the enemy from behind, increasing his damage considerably. He's a fast-paced character who can produce a flurry of attacks with his blades. The best team composition for Crow would be Meryl and Nemesis. With Meryl being a defensive character, Nemesis being a support, and Crow being a DPS, this produces Tower of Fantasy's balance buff.

By using three different types of characters, the balance buff boosts the final damage and damage reduction by 5%. Shatter stats and healing effects are also increased by 20%. When playing in a team, the final damage and damage reduction is raised to 20%. This team composition is best for those who are playing solo, with each character providing a benefit to the player. Meryl can break the shields, while Nemesis uses her passive healing circle as she attacks with voltage, followed by Crow attacking enemies from behind.
