As is customary in every gacha game ever released, DPS characters are measured up against one another to see which is the king of the hill. Tower of Fantasy is no exception. It's a gambling game, after all, and there's a slim chance of getting the most coveted characters. Right now, there is only a handful of them on the roster, but that will change quickly.

So which characters should players covet? The DPS ones, of course. They make your grind a little less grindy. Granted, the characters in Tower of Fantasy function differently. They're mostly just skins tied to weapons. So, this also counts as a ranking of DPS weapons. Here's what players want to wish for the most when spending those Nuclei or Nucleuses.

8 Echo

  • Element: Volt
  • Rarity: SR
  • Weapon: Thunderous Halberd
  • Specialty: Shieldbreaking

She's the Amber of Tower Fantasy, meaning Echo is not really that desirable to power players, no matter how well she presents herself. She's practically given for free at the beginning of the game, and her included weapon is not really that appealing.

Still, any port in a storm will do. If players are just starting out, then Echo will certainly perform well enough as a shield breaker. It's just that her weapon's move set leaves a lot to be desired as it's not really great for multiple enemies. Thankfully, the game lets players swap weapons.

7 Hilda

  • Element: Ice
  • Rarity: SR
  • Weapon: The Terminator
  • Specialty: Main DPS

Hilda has a good advantage over Echo; she comes with a ranged weapon. The Terminator can be a decent set of pistols for those looking for a ranged weapon that isn't a slow bow. Moreover, Hilda's element allows her to control the battlefield a little.

She can slow down enemies with her charged attacks while peppering them with bullets in their vulnerable phases. Apart from that, Hilda can be a great character/weapon for exploration since she increases vehicle speed by a total of 17% after unlocking her two Awakening Traits.

6 Bai Ling

  • Element: Physical
  • Rarity: SR
  • Weapon: Nightingale's Feather
  • Specialty: Main DPS

Bai Ling is a solid contender for an all-around DPS since she deals physical damage with her bow, Nightingale's Feather. This makes her more appealing as a DPS character/weapon; ranged attacks are always better when it comes to dealing damage.

To add to this, Bai Ling being a bow-user primarily means that she's good at dealing with multiple targets thanks to the Arrow Rain and Explosive Barrage abilities. Not to mention, Bai Ling is also good at on-foot exploration since she can give a speed boost for 12 seconds.

5 Crow

  • Element: Volt
  • Rarity: SSR
  • Weapon: Thunderblades
  • Specialty: Main DPS

Moving on to the big leagues, we have Crow, who's definitely not inspired by Genshin Impact's Razor. Crow is more appealing, though, since he's rarer and has a faster playstyle, assuming players use his signature weapon in combat. Crow has the Thunderblades, which is a dual sword or blade.

Already, this shows his capability as a fast melee attacker who can also deal with hordes of enemies easily thanks to Sky Flurry. Meanwhile, Crow's Volt element ensures a consistent damage output and is also useful in PvP since it negates buffs.

4 Shiro

  • Element: Physical
  • Rarity: SSR
  • Weapon: Chakram of the Seas
  • Specialty: Sub DPS

Shiro is one of the quirkiest characters in Tower of Fantasy. Because apart from an obsessive fixation on the ocean and anything related to it, she also uses a chakram, which is quite a rare weapon in games and even in Tower of Fantasy. So a lot of players will certainly take a liking to her peculiar persona.

But when it comes to combat, fans will also be pleased to know that Shiro's bite justifies her bark. She does well as a sub-DPS in the game. Her Awakening Traits support this playstyle for Shiro, as she's all about increasing attack damage every time she does a combat maneuver.

3 Tsubasa

  • Element: Ice
  • Rarity: SSR
  • Weapon: Icewind Arrow
  • Specialty: Main DPS

Tsubasa and her weapon have already gone down as one of the best choices for the main DPS in Tower of Fantasy. That's because her Awakening Trait as a Simulacra always leads to increased damage for a whopping 30 seconds. As far as DPS characters are concerned, she's the one that focuses a lot on damage increases.

In fact, the longer she stays out and deals damage, the higher her damage buff stack will be. This already lays out the playstyle for Tsubasa. Thus, pairing her with fast weapons will often yield some impressive and powerful results. It also helps that she comes with a bow, allowing her to maximize her damage buff stack quickly.

2 King

  • Element: Flame
  • Rarity: SSR
  • Weapon: Scythe of the Crow
  • Specialty: Shieldbreaking

His name indicates his reputation, and King's reputation precedes him. He's one of the best brawlers of days past and has thus built an intimidating association for his name. Of course, this reflects well with how much damage he can do in-game and his role as a DPS.

King mostly excels in breaking shields but can nevertheless become a fan favorite due to the convenience he offers. He has an awesome degree of sustainability on the battlefield where every five or seven enemies killed will heal him. That means he's not just great for breaking shields, but for general gameplay as well.

1 Samir

  • Element: Volt
  • Rarity: SSR
  • Weapon: Dual EM Stars
  • Specialty: Main DPS

And finally, here's who's probably the best all-around DPS right now in Tower of Fantasy, Samir. She thrives on avoiding damage while also getting powerful by doing so. A lot of her moves revolve around staying airborne thanks to her dual pistols. This tactic also allows Samir to avoid most damage sources.

Because for every four seconds where she remains undamaged, she'll gain a damage boost. This buff will dissipate slowly once she gets hit, but it's easy to recover from that predicament. In any case, players not only get a massive damage boost by using Samir, but they'll also learn to masterfully dodge enemy attacks, leading to a more elite level of gameplay.

Tower of Fantasy is available on Android, iOS, and Microsoft Windows.
