Another form of media that has immense amounts of hack and slash glory and generously dosed with magical might is the Japanese originated animation style known to the world simply as "anime."

In the world of Flonyard, an alternate version of Earth where people have the traits of certain animals, there is a war raging between two opposing factions: the Republic of Biscotti and the Galette Leo Knights. In a high fantasy setting where people have the ears, tails, and ferocity of beasts, there are plenty of magic-filled battles to enjoy.

However, Dog Days has an even balance between the magical action and other elements, like light-hearted comedic conversations and character developing moments. One of the biggest praises this show has received is that it starts off very relaxed yet gradually becomes more dramatic for a genuinely satisfying sense of progression.
