Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 is packed with challenges for players to complete, moving them forward to new stages with different sorts of set pieces. Some of these are far more straight forward than others, simply requiring players to collect large, glowing icons, or hit a certain minimum score.

Others, however, can be just a bit more confusing, requiring players to perform certain tricks in certain locations, or find and destroy certain environmental objects, which can be difficult to locate in some circumstances. One of the challenges in Tony Hawk's Mall level is to "AirWalk the Flying Leap Gap," and while it isn't complicated to complete, some players may have trouble locating it as they skate through the stage.

To complete the challenge, players simply need to skate through the early portion of the Mall level, passed the large wooden ramp, then up the stairs shortly after it. At the top of the stairs, there will be a railed ledge, which players need to jump over and perform an AirWalk on before hitting the ground. Doing so will complete the challenge, and move players towards unlocking whatever Tony Hawk level they're working towards next.

To perform the AirWalk, hold diagonal-right-down on the thumbstick — doing it with the d-pad is more difficult — and press Circle on PS4, or B on an Xbox controller. Holding down Circle/B will extend the trick, which earns additional points to the player's score.

It's worth noting that these jumps can provide a nice little boost to the player's combo, and it is possible to chain the AirWalk with a grind on the rails below, which can add up to a decent score if performed correctly. However, failing the trick won't complete the challenge, so getting over-zealous can cause more harm than good if players aren't careful.

Overall, this is one of the easier challenges in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. The jump itself is early in the stage, and it's tall enough to provide plenty of time before hitting the ground. Plus, Mall is a linear map, so it's pretty easy to complete some of the other challenges along the way, assuming players know where they're located. Mall is also one of the stages that drop players back at the beginning if they reach the end with time left on the clock, which makes it even easier to run the stage through multiple times.
