Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered's physical release will be getting a Standard and Collector's Edition. While Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered was released on multiple platforms in February 2024, it has only been available for purchase via digital stores. The collection was a semi-faithful recreation of the original games, albeit with some minor quality-of-life changes, as well as a fresh coat of graphical paint. As such, some collectors and die-hard fans wished for the existence of a physical copy to own.
With the Tomb Raider franchise's future having no confirmed direction yet, it may be a while until a new entry will be ready for fans. As such, there's a chance that those looking for their tomb-raiding fix will want to have a copy of the remastered collection. On this note, Limited Run Games comes to the rescue as it has opened pre-orders for the game's physical release.
Tomb Raider Remastered Collection Includes Content Warning
The Tomb Raider: 1-3 Remastered collection comes with a warning that denounces some of the content from the original trilogy as highly offensive.
As announced on Limited Run Games' Twitter, Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered will come in both a Standard and Collector's Edition. The Standard Edition will include just the game itself, but the Collector's Edition is where the meat is at. Those who purchase this version will get to feel like their favorite Tomb Raider thanks to replicas of Lara Croft's iconic pistols will be included in the package. The pistols will be contained in their own lit shadowbox. The Collector's Edition will also include several posters, trading cards, polygonal figures, and more. It looks like Limited Run Games is going to give fans a lot of unique items for their collections.

The advertisement clearly notes that the collection itself will include all expansions, as well as secret levels. This includes content removed from and then restored to the remastered Tomb Raider titles. Even fans who have experienced the classic games will have reason to purchase these new versions on any of the modern consoles, as the physical copies will be available for Switch, PS4, PS5, and Xbox One. There doesn't seem to be an Xbox Series X/S version available in the store, but no reason has been given as to why it doesn't exist.
Limited Run Games has done well in a niche market. With the gradual shift to digital consumerism, many old-school fans worry about being able to purchase physical editions. The solutions brought about by Limited Run Games has allowed many classic games from the previous generations of gaming to be playable on modern systems such as Switch and PlayStation. Not only will younger fans be able to experience old titles, it also means that collectors will be able to complete and preserve their gaming archives and displays.
