HBO Max recently released a short Titans season 4 trailer ahead of the DC show's return in early November. The streaming service also took to social media to unveil a new suit for Ryan Potter's Beast Boy in the lead-up to the season debut.

Based on the DC comics superhero team of the same name, Titans follows the adventures of a new lineup for the team, led by original Titan member Dick Grayson, who stumbles upon a powerful girl being haunted by supernatural forces seeking his help, starting a series of events that lead to the addition of other metahumans to the team. The series has been lauded for showing a more mature side to the Titans than other adaptations, particularly portraying a more morally grey and manipulative Nightwing.

In the Titans season 4 teaser, fans are greeted by a strange molten sigil being drawn along the ground as esoteric chants carry on in the background. Finally, the scene settles on a pool of dark red from which a solitary fist emerges before spreading out as if reaching for something while the chants get even more frantic. The impressive visuals and occult vibe are the clear calling cards of Brother Blood, the part of which was recently taken up by Joseph Morgan alongside two other iconic Titan-related comic book characters. The villain is sure to be a pain in the side of the Titans, with the season’s tagline talking up the threat, saying, “Having saved Gotham, the Titans hit the road to head back to San Francisco. But after a stop in Metropolis, they find themselves in the crosshair of a supernatural cult with powers unlike anything they’ve faced before.”

In addition to the short but exciting Titans season 4 teaser, the HBO Max Instagram account also joined in on the fourth season promotion by giving fans a sneak peek at Beast Boy’s new costume for the upcoming season. Designed by Laura Jean Shannon and featuring a pleasantly fitting texturing along with colors and an overall design that is pretty close to some of the character’s comic book costumes, the suit is sure to get fans of the show even more hyped for the upcoming season. Beast Boy has always been a fan favorite, and that status is likely only going to intensify as fans of the show learn more about Beast Boy's comic origins and abilities.

The new additions to the Titans season 4 cast are likely to go down very well with fans, similar to the casting of Savannah Welch as Barbara Gordon for the third season. Despite having three seasons already firmly behind it, Titans still has an almost limitless amount of compelling narratives and characters still open to be explored, with possible crossovers with the likes of Superman for the upcoming seasons indicative of this. However, fans will have to wait to catch the show on HBO Max to confirm much of what the new season will hold.

Titans season 4 is set to release on HBO Max on November 3, 2022.
