Tiny Tina's Wonderlands has only been out for a few days, and yet it has fans of the Borderlands games once again loving the stylized looter shooter. With a theme based around fantasy rather than the sci-fi settings Borderlands games are traditionally known for, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands does offer plenty of new elements for fans of the franchise, from new classes that focus on melee and a more traditional Borderlands style of gameplay to a character creator that marks a first for the series.

Though there are plenty of new additions to Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, the game does have plenty of recognizable features for Borderlands fans. The graphics, gameplay, and writing are all what a Borderlands fan would expect of another entry into the series. Alongside these more general features, though, there are also plenty of easter eggs for fans to find and the return of SHiFT codes allowing Tiny Tina's Wonderlands players to get free loot.

Easter eggs are a traditional feature of any Borderlands title, with the games often looking to reference other popular media in the easter eggs they provide, such as a Smurfs Easter egg in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands and a Rick and Morty easter egg in Borderlands 3. One Tiny Tina's Wonderland player has stumbled on something a little different than a reference to another IP. In the Brighthoof area of the map, Reddit user Chimichangas823 found a wholesome easter egg featuring all the Gearbox developers.

The picture can be found in a portal under the entrance to the docks in Brighthoof and serves as a nice nod to all the devs that worked hard to make Tiny Tina's Wonderlands what it is today. At first, a few Borderlands fans were worried that the game would be something that could've acted as a DLC expansion to Borderlands 3. Yet with the major changes Tiny Tina's Wonderlands has brought to the franchise, many are now enjoying the Dungeons & Dragons inspired adventure as another great Borderlands title.

While developers can sometimes end up at odds with the fans of a given game, such as the rocky relationship between Halo Infinite's players and the team at 343 Industries, many Borderlands fans were happy to see a nod to the people that had made Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, with a few commenting on Chimichangas823's Reddit post about how wholesome it was to include such a tribute to the devs. With Tiny Tina's Wonderlands enjoying positive reception from both fans and critics, many are glad that the developers who created the game are being immortalized in the game itself.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
