Gearbox Software founder Randy Pitchford has tweeted a limited-time SHiFT code redeemable for one skeleton key in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. Fans of Gearbox games such as the Borderlands series and Tiny Tina's Wonderlands are always on the lookout for new SHiFT codes thanks to the powerful loot obtainable from using the keys.Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is the latest looter shooter from Gearbox and is a spinoff of the popular Borderlands series that has held a firm grip on the genre since the original 2009 Borderlands. Along with the satisfyingly violent gunplay, unique characters with a variety of skill trees and abilities, and stylized cel-shading art style, one of the main draws of Gearbox's games is the positively massive variety of obtainable loot. Assault rifles, sniper rifles, rocket launchers, SMGs and pistols are each spawned with a randomized configuration of gun parts leading to countless potential weapons. To help players acquire particularly powerful weapons, Gearbox occasionally releases SHiFT codes that can be redeemed for keys to open a loot chest which yields higher than average quality gear. The new SHiFT code tweeted by Randy Pitchford is T3FJT-F6RCH-WWJKW-B33BT-KRRHB. This code is redeemable for a single skeleton key in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, so players will be able to open the Skeleton Chest in Brighthoof one time for a potential gear upgrade. It's generally recommended to save these keys for when the character has reached the maximum level, which is level 40 in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. This ensures that the rare loot won't be easily replaced after a few level-ups.
Like previous limited-time SHiFT codes, this code will be redeemable for one week before expiring on July 14th. Players will need to input the code either through the official SHiFT website or the in-game SHiFT menu. Once the code has been submitted, players will receive an in-game mail with the skeleton key attached and can head over to Brighthoof to open the Skeleton Chest. Skeleton Chest loot is guaranteed to be at least Rare (Blue) quality with increased odds of being Epic (Purple) or Legendary (Orange).
Gearbox is known to release new SHiFT codes from time to time to celebrate certain occasions, although this code posted by Randy Pitchford is simply celebrating the arrival of another Friday. Tiny Tina's Wonderlands has recently been released on Steam with full cross-play capability which has led to a surge in player numbers.
