While Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is only a little more than a month away from release, Gearbox is shedding a bit more light on what people can expect when they finally get their hands on this Borderlands franchise spinoff. Over the last month, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands devs have been sharing more details about the classes people can play as well as the characters users will run across including tavern keeper, Izzy.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands involves much of the same gameplay and storytelling mechanics as the Borderlands games that came before it, though instead of being a science-fiction adventure, this game will deal more in the fantasy realm. The story of this game also technically takes place inside the mind of a 13-year-old girl who is running this world's version of a round of Dungeons & Dragons. That means that rather than seeing some of the same old vault hunters, new characters and story beats are set to be introduced in this installment of the long-running franchise.

In a recent exclusive reveal, IGN introduced the world to Izzy, who will apparently be one of the most important NPCs in the world of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. The character is the barkeep and owner of Izzy's Fizzies. Because this world is inside the mind of a young girl it should surprise no one that her establishment is a "strictly non-alcoholic" soda bar.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands Izzy

Izzy's Fizzies will play an important part in the game as it will be the main hub where players will be able to purchase upgrades and quick changes. The location will also apparently change and grow as players progress through the story. There could be different decorations that will match what kind of class someone uses in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands as well as what kind of accomplishments they achieve. A creature that is killed out on an adventure could also have its head mounted on the wall in Izzy's Fizzies the next time the players go to the hub.

Izzy's tavern will also feature an "ancient obelisk" where players will be able to grab new quests that are separate from the main story mission. There will also be ways to divvy up loot that was collected from all of those story missions and quests once people go back to talk to Izzy and the denizens of her soda bar.

Now that Tiny Tina's Wonderlands has officially gone gold and it appears it's going to arrive on time, it's safe to assume fans of the franchise will learn even more about what to expect over the coming days and weeks. That could include a better picture of how the game's NPCs mesh together as players move through the game's world.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will be released on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox X/S on March 25th.
