Looking to help support its top creative users, TikTok has created the $200 million TikTok Creator Fund. This fund will help support "ambitious creators" who are interested in opportunities that will help sustain a livelihood through their "innovative content." Until the Creator Fund, TikTok creators were only able to earn money from their content through third-party partnerships and deals they had to broker themselves.

An official statement from the company explained how its TikTok Creator Fund will allow creators to earn additional earnings that will reward the care and dedication they put into "creatively connecting" with their audience.

The statement also reflected on TikTok's growth, noting how in a relatively short time the platform has become a viable source of income that provides genuine opportunities to creators and their families to support themselves through creative endeavors. As the TikTok community continues to grow, the company explained how it remained committed to cultivating deeper relationships with its users and top creators to help them "earn livelihoods by inspiring joy and creativity."

There are a few caveats to note, however. Firstly, the TikTok Creator Fund is only available for creators based in the United States. Additionally, creators have to be aged 18 years or older, have a mandated minimum follower count, and "consistently post original content" that conforms to TikTok's community guidelines. For those that meet these requirements, applications for the TikTok Creator Fund will open in August.
