The massive value of Xbox Game Pass comes as Microsoft has discussed potential changes to come to the subscription service. Microsoft raised the price of the subscription service for the first time earlier this year, with the base Game Pass subscription increasing to $10.99 USD. Xbox boss Phil Spencer also spoke about the price changes during this year's Tokyo Games Show, suggesting further increases to Xbox Game Pass' price were "inevitable." However, Spencer did also express that he felt the value of Game Pass should rise with the price.
Xbox Game Pass' strong showing in 2023 will look to carry over into 2024 with multiple games already on the schedule for January. Microsoft confirmed that Turnip Boy Robs a Bank will be arriving on the Game Pass library on January 18 with Go Mecha Ball coming to the service a week later. Xbox Game Pass also has several Day 1 games confirmed for later in 2024, including Persona 3 Reload and Avowed among others. Xbox Game Pass' value is set to rise even higher throughout 2024 with plenty of big games on the way.
