Given the decision by Rocksteady Studios to delay their new and upcoming title Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League indefinitely, many fans have assumed that this may very well indicate a response to the controversy and backlash in regard to the game's features.

While there are changes that could be made in the lead-up to its next reveal, it is unlikely for any of the core aspects of the title to change drastically, but depending on what developers decide to tweak, it could result in positive feedback from fans. Despite the reasoning behind why the developers have chosen to delay Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League remains unclear, the likelihood of Rocksteady Studios touching on at least a few of the wanted changes from fans is very much high.

5 Reduce Live-Service Elements

Taking into consideration that most of the poorly received live-service elements will not change nor be removed, fans can remain positive at the potential reduction of its place at the forefront of the title. As many fans expected Rocksteady Studios' trend of a single-player-focused title to be maintained based on the previous Batman Arkham trilogy, it was a surprise to see a huge departure. While the core aspects such as the title being narrative-driven and character-focused are still present, especially within the engaging cutscenes, the addition of a battle pass and an online store left many worried.

Whilst this does not guarantee the idea that Rocksteady Studios' Suicide Squad will core gameplay elements will be affected, fans are worried it could steer the game away from its main focus on story and casual progression elements and instead focus on constant updates over time and skins being locked behind paywalls like titles such as Destiny 2 or Call of Duty. As this most likely will not change, it would be great for developers to ensure it does not massively affect the overall experience for players, especially in the midst of gameplay.

4 Enemy Variety

Enemy

Despite its reveal at the State of Play in February, there is still much to be shown in terms of the game's story and gameplay. Throughout the gameplay showcase, players were quick to point out the similar enemy types who are like the rest of the Justice League controlled by Brainiac. As aforementioned, not every main aspect of the title has been revealed, but fans have voiced their hopes for enemy variation and differentiation between enemy attack patterns and their weak points for players to target.

This could most certainly open up the door for great reception from fans and push it closer toward achieving its potential, especially as Rocksteady Studios' previous Batman titles were quite heavy on enemy variety between the three games. Encouraging players to use different characters or abilities to take down foes could keep them engaged whilst also enabling the experience to stay fresh every time players pick up their controllers.

3 No Internet Connection Requirement

One of the biggest complaints many fans held with the title was the announcement of an internet connection being required, regardless of whether players are playing in co-op or single-player. This goes hand-in-hand with the undesired live-service aspects Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League will contain, and it has left a plethora of fans questioning the title's genre as a narrative-focused game.

As the developers' previous work did not contain any of these elements whatsoever, it stands as a drastic shift away from what many players have been familiar with over the years. Whilst the inclusion of this requirement could be related to security protocols such as Denuvo's DRM which has been the center of controversy, the removal of this feature would massively benefit players who only intend to experience the game alone.

2 Memorable Boss Fights

Another pivotal aspect of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League fans are yet to see, is its boss encounters and how these will play out. If there is one thing that can definitely win fans over and outshine the implementations fans are disappointed with, is ensuring that the fights with the Justice League members are worthwhile. The face-off between the Suicide Squad against the controlled heroes is one of the main spectacles many fans were anticipating ever since the game was announced.

While a lot of revealed footage has showcased the interactions between The Flash and the playable Suicide Squad characters and a brief showcase of meeting Batman, this remains to be a surprise for fans and many will be hoping that the current delay will enable the developers to optimize the boss fights to their best potential.

1 More Polish To Combat

Harley Quinn

Given the previous hard-hitting and realistic combat featured in the Batman Arkham trilogy, it was a surprise for many to see a great level of a difference this time around in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League. This could be a result of a change in playable characters and the less intricate and precise combat abilities and move sets for the characters here.

As the core gameplay elements and features are highly unlikely to be altered to meet fans' expectations, a change to the flow of combat, sound effects, visual effects, and finishers could make up for fans' previous level of anticipation.

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is currently in development for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
