It was completely unexpected, but one of the biggest announcements from the March 2024 Nintendo Direct presentation was that the Star Wars Battlefront: Classic Collection would be coming in March 2024 for Nintendo Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X. This new game is a remaster of the first Star Wars Battlefront games that were released in 2004 and 2005.

Return To An Iconic Location Not Included In The Original Game
One of the most recognizable locations in the Star Wars franchise is Jabba's Palace from Return of the Jedi. Since the first Star Wars Battlefront game featured many of the iconic locations from the series, it was strange that the game did not feature it Jabba's home as a playable map. Luckily, the second game rectified this situation by including Jabba's Palace as a map, complete with the droid torture room, a frozen Han Solo, and Jabba himself sitting on his throne.
It looks like the Star Wars Classic Collection is rectifying this mistake again, as the map of Jabba's Palace is going to be included in the new remaster in the first game as an added bonus.

The new Star Wars Battlefront Classic Collection is being developed by Lucas Arts alongside a company called Aspyr. If that name sounds familiar, it is because this company was behind the recent and successful remaster of Tomb Raider 2.
Many fans will also be pleased to hear that this is the developer behind Spider-Man: Web of Shadows, Star Wars: Jedi Outcast, and many more well-liked titles. Therefore, with the developer already having a Star Wars game under their belts, fans can breathe a sigh of relief that this remaster is in the hands of a company that knows how to work within this universe.
