With the rising prices of streaming services around the world, many people are returning to YouTube for free entertainment. Luckily, some of our favorite franchises are still active on YouTube, creating free and exclusive content that anyone can watch, regardless of their budget. The latest gift of free videos brought to us by YouTube is from none-other-than Pokemon, who have released the next set of three videos combining cooking and sentiment into one fun, cute package.

On the official Japanese Pokemon channel, three videos were added last month that are part of an ongoing series. The videos are all the same style of live-action combined with CGI Pokemon characters, and they center around food. They are simple, short cooking videos that introduce the ingredients, show how to prepare the dish, and then show the Pokemon and humans enjoying it together. There are always some heartfelt moments as well, showing how cooking can bring people together to form special memories.

The three videos are called "Camping Trip with Pokemon," though in reality only two of the three videos are actually taking place while camping. The first one is a kind of prequel, adding a new Pokemon member to the man's original team of Pikachu, Charmeleon, Psyduck, and Jigglypuff. He finds a Sprigatito outside, longingly watching the other Pokemon enjoying their food, and lets it inside to join his team. Then, the second two videos are the whole team of Pokemon and the man camping, and cooking outside on the fire.

In each video, the audience is shown how to make a few different dishes, both desserts and savory food, too. They feature close-up shots of how to make the food, which is satisfying to watch if you like to see slow-pouring chocolate, perfectly cut cake, cookie decorating, and more. Plus, the food portions are cut with clips of the cute Pokemon interacting, playing, or eating together. The videos are simple, easy to follow, and family-friendly, so anyone can enjoy them.

These latest three videos are the second part of a series that premiered around this time last year. While these videos are themed around camping, last time it was about making winter desserts, roughly translated as "Sweet Winter with Pokemon." While the last series was all about feeling good, "Camping Trip with Pokemon" does have some moments of melancholy surrounding Charmeleon, who is shown at the end of one video staring out the window at the sky. Though he is shown in the final video evolved into Charizard, so perhaps he was just dreaming about brighter days in his future!

The videos are from the Japanese Pokemon channel, so they are all in Japanese. However, there is no talking in them at all, so the only language barrier is that the amounts for the ingredients in the cooking recipes are all written in Japanese, along with the simple instructions. If you are watching the videos just to see delicious food, cute Pokemon characters, and cozy close-up cooking shots, the language doesn't matter. They are worth watching for any Pokemon fan, Japanese or not, and at between 5 and 6 minutes each they are just long enough to be enjoyable without dragging on too long.
