Theatrhythm Final Bar Line is a rhythm game and the fifth entry making up the Theatrhythm subseries, starring Theatrhythm Final Fantasy (2012), Final Fantasy: Curtain Call (2014), Theatrhythm Dragon Quest (2015), and the uniquely themed arcade game Theatrhythm Final Fantasy: All-Star Carnival (2016).

Theatrhythm Final Bar Line is similar to the previous games as it also has elements of role-playing games and lets players control a number of characters in the game. It brings back the note charts from the All-Star Carnival series and lets up to four people play at the same time. Also, the pair mode from the All-Star Carnival makes a comeback. The multiplayer mode in Final Bar Line sees an increase in the number of character participants from 2 in each room to 4 in each room. The game features 385 playable songs, 104 playable characters, and different game modes with varying playstyles. There are different physical and magical attack abilities in the game, and players need to understand the attacking abilities of the in-game characters to enjoy the game.

7 Ultima Blade & Ultima

Ultima Blade is a physical attack type ability and has a slashing attribute. This ability allows the in-game character to deal massive damage proportional to the user’s strength and magical capabilities, meaning its effectiveness is largely dependent on how much leveling up players have done with their in-game characters. In-game characters like Sephiroth, Aranea, Cloud, Zidane, Cloud #2, and Lightning can use this skill.

Ultima, on the other hand, is a magical attack that lets players do a lot of damage directly related to the magic level of their game character. Maria, Minwu, Terra, Zack, Ultimecia, Kuja, Spiritus, Shantotto, and Orlandeau are the in-game characters able to access and learn this skill.

6 Meteor Blade & Meteor

The meteor blade is a physical ability type that causes high damage directly proportionate to the user’s strength. This skill also has the slashing attribute, and characters in the game like Gilgamesh, Leon, Jecht, Aranea, Gabranth, Machina, and Terra can use it.

Meteor, on the other hand, is a magical ability that allows the user to deal massive damage in proportion to their magic level. This ability is specific to characters like the Emperor, Golbez, Kefka, Sephiroth, Vivi, Exdeath, Orlandeau, and Balthier.

5 Firaga Blade & Firaga

The Firaga Blade is a physical ability attack with slashing and fire attributes. It allows the user to deal high damage in proportion to their strength and is accessible to the following characters: Garland, Garuf, Faris, Chaos, Lightning #2, Gabranth, and Seifer.

Firaga is a fire-based magical attack that lets its user do a lot of damage, directly proportional to how good they are at magic. The following characters can use this skill: Maria, Cloud of Darkness, Kefka, Terra, Vivi, Laguna, Spiritus, Seifer, Ashe, Vincent, Seymour, and Shantotto.

4 Blizzaga Blade & Blizzaga

The Blizzaga Blade is a physical attack with Slashing and Ice attributes. It lets the user do a lot of damage that is directly related to how strong they are. It is an ability available to the following characters: Leon, Celes, Gilgamesh, Serah, Squall, Zack, and Paine.

Blizzaga, as its name suggests, is similar to Blizzaga Blade in that it is a magical attack ability with the Ice attribute that inflicts a high amount of damage that is proportional to the user’s magic level. This ability is available to specific characters like the Emperor, Rydia, Lenna, Edea, Cloud of Darkness, Spiritus, Kurasame, Kuja, Seymour, Snow, and Ultimecia, among others.

3 Thundaga Blade & Thundaga

The Thundaga Blade, also a physical attack ability, that has slashing and lightning attributes. The ability allows its user to deal a high amount of damage proportional to their strength level, and this ability is specific to the following in-game characters: Leon, Locke, Ashe, Zidane, Chaos, Lightning #2, and Kain.

The Thundaga is a magical ability with lightning attributes allowing its user to deal a high amount of damage to enemies, directly proportional to their own magic level. This ability is accessible only to certain characters like Golbez, Rem, Exdeath, Kefka, Ultimecia, Vivi, Garnet, Seymour and Noel.

2 Drain Blade & Graviga

Drain Blade is a physical attack ability with slashing attribute. The ability allows its user to deal sufficient damage in proportion to their level of strength and at the same time restores 20% of the user’s HP gauge. It is exclusive to just one character: Squall.

Graviga is a magical ability that allows its user to deal damage equaling a quarter of the total power level of their opponent. This ability is available to characters like Golbez, Emperor, Exdeath, Vincent, Seymour, and Machina.

1 Holy Blade & Doomsday

Holy Blade is a physical attack ability also possessing the slashing attribute. The ability allows its user to deal massive amounts of damage in proportion to the user’s spirit level. The ability is accessible to characters like Warrior of Light, Cecil, and Wol.

Doomsday on the other hand, much like its name suggests is a magical ability with all-round negative effects on both the user and their opponents. The ability allows its user to deal a moderate amount of damage in proportion to their magical level to an opponent and at the same time the user receives a 10% HP damage. Only characters like Exdeath, Cloud of Darkness, Edea, Cid Raines, Vincent and Shantotto have access to this ability.

Theatrhythm Final Bar Line is available on Nintendo Switch and PS4.
