Board game producer The Op Games has partnered with toy developer Hasbro to launch a new Monopoly board themed after CD Projekt Red's The Witcher video game series. Officially titled Monopoly: The Witcher Edition, the board game will feature familiar creatures and characters from The Witcher and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Dane Chapin, CEO of The Op Games, excitedly announced Monopoly: The Witcher Edition board game, noting the incredible popularity of The Witcher game series and television drama as a driving force for the company to bring a new spin to the classic Monopoly game. Chapin stated that The Op Games is looking forward to Witcher fans enjoying a new experience as the franchise continues to expand across mediums.

Following similar gameplay to a standard Monopoly board, Monopoly: The Witcher Edition is designed for two to six players, though the recommended age rating has been raised to 17 and up. Gameplay features custom currency from Vivaldi's Dwarven Bank, which can be used to buy, sell, and trade familiar monsters from The Witcher franchise, such as Bruxa, Crone, and Leshen. As players move around the board, they can establish Manors and Houses while advancing their respective game pieces. These player markers include six collectible custom tokens, including Kaer Mohren, Roach on the Roof, a Flaming Book, a Crystal Skull, and a Lute. Other key gameplay features include "Bounty" and "Law of Surprise" cards, which replace the Community Chest and Chance cards, respectively. Fans of The Witcher will also recognize popular characters from the series around the playing board, such as Geralt, Ciri, Yennefer, and Dandelion.
