A fan of The Witcher begins a petition to get CD Projekt RED to add Dandelion as a love interest for Geralt in The Witcher 4. Known in the games as Jaskier, the character of Dandelion is seen in The Witcher series on Netflix and is Geralt's friend, singing songs as the two of them adventure.

The petition is available on change.org and was created by a fan of The Witcher named Ayrtom Pask. The fan called Geralt and Dandelion's friendship "a very unique and comedic one" and that in their relationship "Geralt takes the role as a dark moody character and his, probably best, friend and occasional side kick is often utilized as the comedic release." Pask also said that the series shows that Geralt cares very much about Dandelion and that if they had a romantic relationship, it could potentially be "beautiful."

The fan also said that it is "unrealistic" for CD Projekt RED to make a Geralt and Dandelion romance a main part of The Witcher 4's story. However, Pask suggests that the developer releases some Geralt and Dandelion romance DLC.

It is much more likely that CD Projekt RED will release some DLC for The Witcher 3 than it is for the developer to release The Witcher 4 with a Geralt and Dandelion romance. Some fans did wonder if CD Projekt RED had teased The Witcher 4 in August, but the developer has not officially confirmed that it is developing the game. The Witcher has been incredibly successful for CD Projekt RED but this doesn't mean that the company wants to make The Witcher 4 or that Geralt will be the protagonist.

There is potential for some DLC for The Witcher 3 as many people are replaying The Witcher 3 because of the release of the Netflix series. These players would likely enjoy some more DLC for the game and putting a Geralt and Dandelion romance in the DLC could be a good way to get more viewers of the Netflix series to play the game. It would also allow CD Projekt RED to confirm whether same-sex romances are something that fans would like more of if it does make The Witcher 4.

It's unclear whether a Geralt and Dandelion romance will happen in the Netflix series, in The Witcher 3 DLC, or in a new game. The petition only has four signatories so CD Projekt RED may not know that it's something that fans want.

The Witcher is now streaming on Netflix.
