The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt puts Geralt of Rivia in all sorts of interesting positions over the course of his travels. One day he's riding unicorns, the next he's fighting the Big Bad Wolf in a fairytale world. From the moment players pick up The Witcher 3, they will find there is seemingly no limit to the unique situations Geralt can find himself in.

One of these situations occurs around the game's halfway point, when Geralt realizes he must put on a play in order to contact an old friend. This break from monster-slaying takes place during "The Play's the Thing," which finds Geralt needing to take to the stage to ensure the play's success.

Picking the Correct Play Lines in "The Play's the Thing."

Witcher-3-Play-Geralt-2

Geralt is attempting to coerce the doppler Dudu out of hiding by putting on this play, so he has a vested interest in seeing that it runs successfully. To begin the quest, Geralt must visit Priscilla at the Kingfisher Inn. They will write the script together, making one significant choice: comedy or drama? Picking drama will result in a riot at the end of the play, so pick comedy if Geralt wants things to go quickly.

After Geralt finishes all the required tasks, he will be ready to make his debut on the Novigrad stage. It's important to note that Geralt doesn't necessarily have to recite every line properly for the quest to be successful, but Geralt is a witcher, and generally speaking, he seems to prefer doing things right.

Line 1:

The correct choice is: "To slay beasts most foul..."

Line 2:

Witcher-3-Play-Line-2

The correct choice is: "Perhaps 'midst the guests..."

Line 3:

Witcher-3-Play-Line-3

Line 4:

Witcher-3-Play-Line-4

The correct choice is: "But a base heart..."

Line 5:

Witcher-3-Play-Line-5

The correct choice is: "No monster is he..."

No matter which lines Geralt picks, he will always spot Dudu in the crowd. Still, Geralt not remembering his lines? Never gonna happen.

Where to Find the Script in "The Play's the Thing."

Witcher-3-Play-Script

Players looking for a quick reminder of the correct lines can use the script written by Geralt and Priscilla. After the two playwrights complete their masterpiece, Geralt will be able to peruse the script at his leisure, at least until it is delivered to Irina. It can be found in the Quest Items section of the inventory, usually near the top with the other unseen items. It can also be found in the Books section.
