The next-gen update for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has finally made its way into the hands of players, breathing new life into Geralt of Rivia's incredible journey. While the update brings with it a whole host of improvements under the hood, one of the most exciting additions is the new armor Geralt can find while on the path.

Aside from a new quest that culminates in the discovery of a certain set from the live-action show, there are two wholly original sets created for this update. The White Tiger of the West & The Armor of a Thousand Flowers. Both armor sets can be found in the same location, but are incredibly easy to miss if Geralt does not know where to look.

The note left in the chest from Yennefer claims that the armor, though originating in lands unknown, was clearly made for the Emperor himself. While the civilization of origin remains a mystery, she says 'it was forged in the ancient style of a blacksmith who stole the secrets of its construction from their gods.'

Yennefer claims in her letter that this set was made in Dol Blathanna, forged using both 'Nilfgaardian and elven craftsmanship.' Francesca Findabair herself ordered the armor made to elven standards after receiving sub-par steel from Nilfgaard.

While these armor sets may not be the type of gear a witcher would traditionally wear, they certainly provide Geralt with a change of pace. After nearly eight years on the path, who can blame him for wanting to have a little fun?

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available now for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Switch, and PC.
